Where did you see me mention legal abortion limits in my OP?
I did not even pay attention to you until you jumped on my comment, spewing falsehoods which I easily refuted. Go and get some sleep.

Where did you see me arguing for illegal abortion or abortion after the first trimester?
And since you find these illegal abortions so horrifying, you must be all for legalized abortion that sets a time limit.

Maybe when you stop your nonsensical emotional rantings, we will be able to have a civil discussion.
You seem to have a lot wrong with the understanding you have of my OP.

At what point is a fetus considered human? Can we clearly identify when it can be regarded as a human even though it is already of the homo sapiens genus

I don't have to identify anything. I have been very clear. I am pro-choice. End of discussion.

Wow you easily refuted? This thread is not a debate contest but a simple discussion.

I never stated any falsehood because all I said are everyday occurrences and we can keep lying to ourselves but they go on daily right under our noses

I told you I am pro-choice and I told you that where I am located you can only abort in the first trimester. You said 'google is your friend' so I asked my friend and posted what I found. Instead of admitting, you made a mistake, you tried to twist and turn the argument. That is annoying.

Opinions are always personal to those who have them.

You say you do not care about emotions. That is your opinion but there are many who do care and that is what this thread is all about. Everyone sharing their own personal opinions without trying to shout down on the other.

Each respecting the opinion of the other while we discuss.

You said where you are located and I asked that you use Google to check for abortions at 22 weeks regardless of location or the legal limits for abortion in those areas.

You did not understand my comments and you quickly thought I was in error when the world is bigger than "where you are located" .

Abortions are a worldwide occurrence and not just isolated to "where you are located".

You have said you are pro choice. I am good with that.

I love this. It's all about choices. Those who do carry out abortions are seen by those who don't as wicked. Those who keep their babies and refuse to abort are seen by the other side as stupid. Nobody seems to realise that it's all about choices and ones best interest which sometimes may affect the baby for good or for bad.
Thanks for this

Like it is easy for those who had the abortions? undecided
Anyway you look at it, it is a life changer with many sleepless days and nights. Lots of repentance, grief and regrets.

If you keep the child nko?
Without love or support, the child will feel the “unwantedness” with a great potential for emotional, verbal and physical abuse.

Then imagine having to choose between killing your unborn child or giving it up. cry

Simply a game of survival.

Wouldn't it have been a better option to give the child up? I mean there are many out there with more than enough love for that child and who have no idea of the emotional torture that you went through with that child and they would love and cater for the child unconditionally.

If there was an option offered you, to either kill or give up the child what would you do?

That was why I asked in the OP. When does life begin for the fetus? When does a fetus become human?

when abortions are done, is it a fetus that is killed or is it a human?

I didn't make up my mind. Science did! Science offered evidence to the fact the life begins at conception and that the fetus is not a part of the womans body but a whole new body in the process of growth with its own unique features and habits and mental functions.

I love it when people google something to one-sidedly support their convictions. Do you know why? Because it is as easy to google something to refute it. Since science is not a person and scientists often disagree, it is even easier. In the beginning of your 'scientific video', the speaker says that women who had abortions are more likely to suffer from depression and commit suicide. This assertion has been rebuked as myth.

The hypothesis that women who undergo an abortion have worse mental health outcomes than those that don’t is at heart a scientific claim and can be tested as such. One recent study in Denmark charted the psychological health of 365,550 women, including 84,620 who’d had abortions. They found neither an increase in psychological damage, nor any elevated risk of suicide. This finding isn’t especially surprising, as previous investigations found that provided a woman was not already depressive then “elective abortion of an unintended pregnancy does not pose a risk to mental health”. In an article for the Journal of the American Medical Association entitled “The myth of the abortion trauma syndrome” , Dr. Nada Stotland eloquently stated the disconnect between the message of anti-choice organisations and the peer-reviewed literature on the subject: “Currently, there are active attempts to convince the public and women considering abortion that abortion frequently has negative psychiatric consequences. This assertion is not borne out by the literature: the vast majority of women tolerate abortion without psychiatric sequelae”, a conclusion echoed in systematic reviews.

in a nutshell, the level of abortion incidents you have been exposed to has toughened you up so based on this, the life of a fetus means nothing to you. ( that is me paraphrasing you).

I guess abortions do pose some mental health issues. It has already been mentioned on this thread. If this was a census then the speed with which we got the first one should let you have an idea of how the others would follow.

Women generally feel emotionally drained and terrible psychologically after abortions or even a little later on in life if such abortions caused them some physical damage internally.

Well the truth is that whatever someone has been repeatedly exposed to be it good or bad can affect ones views about a lot of things.

Imagine talking about fetuses all chopped up in loads of trash bags as if one is talking about groceries.

Those are generations wiped out and packed in trash bags like Rotten Tomatoes. I tried ignoring that comment but you had to highlight it again.

Not only the level of abortion incidents but life in general.

This topic can only appeal to teenagers and under-20s who need the exposure and education. I have spent 10+ years on NL and abortion topics have been super-thrashed.

If you are trying to lecture anyone above 30 or 40 in this day and age, you are wasting your time.

I am very apathetic to these kinds of topics.

If you are such a humanitarian, why not open a world wide shelter and take in all the abandoned babies you may probably traffick to the highest bidders for slavery or rituals?

Why do we have adoption agencies?
That's if the mother is willing to carry the child or not. If she wants to carry the child to full term and give it up for adoption that's her choice, she is the one who will carry the baby and go through the pains of delivery. If she doesn't it's her choice also.

if the woman doesn't want to carry a child she shouldn't

you can't force a woman to go through pregnancy and childbirth because "adoption agencies" that's ridiculous.

Furthermore what happened to all the other children who need good parents? Why can't people adopt those ones?

I know people can adopt kids and treat them well but there are also stories of children not being treated well either by their adoptive parents or at orphanages or fosters homes.

I would rather not add to the stories of children who are not treated well by their adoptive parents. It's a gamble that I would rather not want a child to go through.
