They just think they have no reason to look trim and sexy for their husband because they are married. Sometimes laziness plays a big role.

its becoming really alarming.
you forgot to add one major reason which is most women stop taking good care of themselves after marriage cos they feel theyve arrived, he has proposed so no need to do shakara.

weldone madam, another sissy will take him from you and you will be claiming he is cheating on you and start fighting sidechicks.
You see married women tying wrapper like grannies. I hate wrappers and will never use one single or married.

Married women should stop thinking theyve arrived and start working on their bodies!

I hate wrappers too, wear skirt and so house work, look sexy all day n I will never look outside

Another issue is flat bre.st, very disgusting to see, it must stand erect OR package it well

It's not because we feel we have arrived abeg!

It's due to stress! The stress of pregnancy and a new mom.
What woman does not want to look good?
It just that priorities change once children start coming!

once a naija babe gets married, she feels like she has made it in life, do you still feed a fish with worms after catching it ?

Or campaign after winning election? cheesy grin

The fact is our food is too starchy. We still eat like farmers in the village that expend lots of energy daily. While sitting in AC offices, riding in cars and bikes. Little or no physical exertion. You hardly see people eating wholemeal bread, brown pasta or drink sugar free version of drinks.

still! You should be able to balance everything. I'm not saying you must look sweet 16 or something, but look good and don't throw your personal life and health to the dustbin.

You see some married women dress shabbily, they don't even take their bath regularly, they don't watch what they eat, they look pregnant all the time because of pot bellies. It's a common thing among most Nigerian women who are married. The ONLY reasons that can justify that lifestyle is lots of kids/stress, serious health issues and poverty. And they complain when their husbands look outside or gets embarrassed to take them out with them to events.

I have made up my mind to be an exception. Even at 50, I will still be looking better than most of my mates cos I don't follow that clique of 'you must look obese when married to be recognized as a true married Nigerian woman' nope.

I don't really see anything wrong with a woman losing shape after marriage. It's the love you feel for the person that counts. If I marry I won't care if my wife grows fat but as far as she still has that lovely smile on her pretty face I'm satisfied.

You still don't get the point miss. Every woman is beautiful, but even that beauty needs to be maintained for it to shine and be appreciated whether they are still in the market(single) or taken(married)

I never mentioned anywhere that men with beautiful wives don't cheat, but the topic of this thread is centered on married women who don't take care of their body.

Say the truth when you see it. You and I are both women, stop supporting something that is not good just because you are a woman. We all know that most married women don't take care of themselves half the way they did when they were single. They leave their bodies to get out of shape and blame it on stress, pregnancy etc when in some cases, that's not the cause.

I quite get your point, but I just wanted to correct your assertion that a grown man can be snatched simply because he finds his wife unattractive.

Hmmmm. It's not easy keeping in shape after pregnancy and all the stress that comes with little children. Let's encourage instead of body shaming.

I look great!
I work out 5times a week and diet.

But I dare not judge those who for one reason or another cannot.
Men don't go through what we women go through yet their body changes and so do their appearance when the priority is not designer t-shirts but school fees and textbooks!!

Let's see how well u would do with this perfect Pattie mentality.

Good advice.... But nursing mothers please don't become depressed because of your "out of shape body" and feed well to feed your baby well. Let the unreasonable people say what they like.
