Voucher All other interested mamas I just thought to add this - U can spice up your baby's potato/plantain/yam puree/mash with boiled green peas, boiled carrot or even boiled liver. For liver - I cut into little cubes and pre-boil separately. Add to the already cooked potatoes/plantain/yam and mash/blend. I also boil and mash my carrot and peas seperately and then mix with whatever puree she is having. |

enque:How often does your baby eat, lemme know of mine is still normal. Secondly please can you take a picture of the bag and plates you use to pack food for crèche or when u leave her for the nanny and do the plates keep them warm of do the crèche people have to warm them esp the purees and mashes. And do you have a separate bag for where they would put the used plates/bottles for you. So how many bags in total do you end up taking to the crèche I want to start getting mentally prepared Id really appreciate pictures pls when u get the timeCc: Hunniesuzie, any other mama with a crèche going baby. |

For storing and freezing purees. I have plenty of this and I use this to portion her food and soups to avoid wasting or defrosting more than she can finish. Once I cook, I portion in as many of this bowls as can contain and freeze. The night before I take it out any one I want to use the next day from the freezer to normal fridge compartment (depending on how frozen it is). For purees - I put the bowl of frozen puree in a small pot of boiling water...more like steaming. After a while the food gets hot, stir to ensure all parts have been heated up, and I transfer to her cooler and pack up for creche.. For soups, I defrost and warm in a pot (like I Wld do regular food) with little heat. For soups - half filled with swallow is OK for her For purees - she can finish an almost filled bowl. On the average she eats 5 - 6 times a day Giddy...person Jazz...yjazz spiceeaimee

For measuring out cereals and milk for creche.. This one is more air-tight as compared to the white one.. So air doesn't get into the milk or cereal Giddyp...erson Jazzyja...zz spiceeaimee

Creche backpack This is the only bag we take to creche alongside her flask filled with hot water. It has 2 compartments and is big enough for all her stuff. Giddyperson Jazzyjazz

Hehehe. Chei 1. 3 hourly 2. Purees are frozen in the container. Will snap and show later. I bring it out of the freezer and put in his bag in the morning. It's usually his 2nd or 3rd meal so it defrosts naturally and then they steam in a pot of water before feeding - this only works cos my creche has capacity for cooking/heating food. Most don't 3. I don't use a separate bag cos they wash the plates and bowl for me Additional info. He eats 4.5 meals in crèche. I ensure 2 of those are milk to try to hit the 500 mls a day target. When I'm taking him at 6am I go with an already prepared 90mls of milk that he eats by 7-ish before falling asleep. I pack 2 portions of formula feeds (he's on 180 mls) in a milk dispenser. 2 of either puree(sometimes fruit, sometimes potato/plantain etc), AS food or cereal. Again because they cook at my creche I don't need a food warmer but hiaers is a good brand. I put 2 empty bottles in his bag for milk feeds cos even if they wash, they don't sterilize and I still rewash when I get home. I put one bowl for cereal/AS and one spoon. 2 bibs Pics later. Let me attend to this my boy Giddyperson: |

Bowl to mix his cereal, storage bowls that I freeze food in, diaper bag I use for crèche, milk dispenser to portion his milk. I have 2 of those and I use the other one for cereal. Different colours and I also label with masking tape so they don't mistakenly mix cereal as milk Modified: can't post pics for some reason but I see Enque has shared some
