VivaLaByke:He knows the triangle offense pretty well and he did a good job on GSW when Kerr was down. He can read plays well and make in-game adjustments which to me signifies true coaching. There were moments in that 44-4 run he did with GSW where the games were close and he would make plays that would open the game up. Summary is, he is good. Lakers intentionally tanked last year (after his good start) otherwise he would have had 30+ wins atleast. But going into this season the Lakers roster does not convince me really. Lonzo will improve and Kuzma seems to be legit but I am not seeing willing unselfish players to make the offense click save Lonzo (whose scoring needs to be a lot better to give his team that jump). Jury is still out on Ingram and something just feels off with the defence. If you are expecting a playoffs finish this time around I seriously doubt it. I would be surprised if you guys did any better than 35wins TBH and it won't be Luke's fault per se. Don't read too much into the Denver game; they are a really solid team whose offense was really fluid even last season besides, it is a preseason game. My GSW lost to them and now Minnesota. The more we see we would know. |

Roland17:Those girls were awesome! The last two minutes was pure madness!! And to think last year's finals was even tighter! After seeing this series I think the women should certainly get more pay. Though the Sparks lost much respect to Candace, that babe is so cerebral. I think the Lynx were really lucky Ogwumike struggled so badly with fouls |

A40:This is called "sending a message" game. No be today I don dey cast M. Murray, that being said, we ready for una this season. If you recollect, the penguins conceded copious amounts of goal through out the post season last season especially in the finals against Nashville. The maple leafs, Sabres and perennial post season losers, the capitals look very good and young in that eastern conference. 8-1 and only the 2nd period no be beans and una upcoming fixtures no look any better. You guys lost to the blues yesterday, una don chop beating today, on Saturday una dey play the Suban and the Predators, Wednesday is Rivalry against the Capitals, the next day una go play Lighting. We dey always beat una anyways..this one na just jara. |

A40:Both teams deserve financial incentives for such finals display. I am not sure the league would get more pay yet, however, such displays can start a conversation about better pay. Did you observe the stadiums throughout the finals? They were packed and sold out. The Sparks could not deal with Fowles and Brauson, they were outmatched and the Lynx did not stop pounding the glass and taking advantage of the mismatch. Ogwumike against a hot and much improved Fowles was not fair and when the Sparks tried to come back in final minute of the 4th quarter, the Lynx went to their best player Maya Moore. I think it was just too much power inside the paint for the Lynx. |

Roland17:Message received. We be customer for regular season I don mark this game for L column even before season start. Not much Murray could do with Niemi already letting in 4 goals on 9 shots. Na just damage control remain. GMJR did not do a good enough job of replacing the guys that left IMO so expectations are minimal. The 3rd Line and 4th Line centers are enough to make you scratch your head, I would be happy with getting to the 2nd round anything after that is a bonus. 3peat no be moi moi. Never ready for us oo! Worry about your conference and Conor McDavid with the Oilers who looks even faster this year and the Predators who added Bonino to boost their 3rd line, My Penguins go everly find their way for that Metropolitan Conference |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 4:12am On Oct 06, 2017 |
Roland17:The disparity in pay is absurd! When I heard Maya Moore and Ogwumike's salary I was weak. While the NBA is definitely more profitable I feel on the back of these finals and based on what we witness on the men's side for most of the NBA playoffs there should be a reduced gap in the salaries, its too disproportionate (I'm not even being a feminist) and unlike tennis I feel these girls definitely deserve more. Women should do more to follow their own as well Fowles started very slowly sef, it was Brunson and Moore that got them going early. Moore was mad clutch! She was my MVP. The 20 rebounds by Fowles scream at you but watching the game Maya drew lots of charges, made hustle plays, dropped dimes and had the thankless task of guarding a much bigger Candace Parker in the paint on numerous occasions |
