This is exactly what muslims do to muslims, and they actually have laws in Muslim countries against women marrying non-muslim men (Tunisia recently removed this savage law). Very correct. Most just go to church but doesn't really care about the things that matters to Christ.

The following verses analysis marriage before conversion.

Note: Any marriage done outside of YHWH is not recognised by Him and the kids gotten in such marriages are termed 'Unclean'. So, let's analyze them.
1 Corinthians:7:13-15
And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.

If i were married to Mr Joe as an Unbeliever then layer accepted Christ, I'm not to leave him, IF he wants to remain married to me. But if Mr Joe says, 'Look Ana, this your Christianity is not for me, i'm leaving you, i am not to force him to stay. Verse 15 says, i'm not under the bondage of remaining unmarried becos my husband is alive, i can remarry.

But, if he wants to remain unbelieving but married to me, i am to remain married to him.

God doesn't demand a single thing because God is not real, and the old testament comes from a time where piecemeal barbarian desert tribes brutally fought and murdered one another in a bloody and primitive struggle for control, where murder, violence and adrenaline juiced tribalism took precedence over greater society, humanity and weighted consideration. Applying that logic to the modern world is absolutely insane. That's how you get things like Saudi Arabia, ISIS or the Ku Klux Klan.

The whole 'marry within your religion' shebang is straight up dark ages stuff, back when religion was a political alliance and one tribe's religion made the difference between whether it got raided or not (not always though). You'll notice that all the countries that prevent marriage between people of differing faiths are Muslim states, specifically non-muslim men and muslim women. These states also tend to have other such nasty things as the death penalty, blasphemy laws, horrible migrant worker laws, among other things. We're living in the goddamned 21st century, we've had over 5000 years of civilisation - One-religion-only marriage really has no place in modern society.
