It is just a free medical outreach which is always done in conjunction with every military exercise. It is optional. Mostly, they treat adults with eye problems. Diagnose and treat some minor health condition. Carryout minor surgical procedures etc.
Just do a little search on Google about it. What I don't understand is why people are making a fuss about it. Guess Radio Biafra spread the rumour.

Schools in Orlu (Imo state) are closed already...... As to the veracity of the monkey pox rumors I can't say a thing, I hope it's not true. As a teacher, I don't mind the break because I'm sure schools will open on Monday next week........
