TFOH with your religious bullocks

Most Yorubas, irrespective of religious affiliation agree with Ambode on this one. There is nothing you and Adeyinka grandclown are saying that hasn't been said.

It's not like shi.t has changed since you've been making noise about the so called hausa parasites. All you clowns do 2-4-7 is make noise.

Everytime, Yoruba Muslim this, Yoruba Muslim that.

Na them say make you never pass WAEC?

That your meme nearly had me inside sir. Been a while I laughed so hard like this.

Your understanding is shallow.

The reason I introduced the WTO angle was so as to illustrate it from and impact and effect perspective and not one of terminology.
If countries are taking cases to the WTO of unfair tax breaks given to an industry from VAT and they had a dispute with the USA the reference point would be Sales tax.

Some products are exempt from VAT or Sales Tax and this may vary from country to country and may elicit charges of unfair subsidies.
In such discussions Sales tax in terms of its nature and quantum are treated the same.

The USA Sales tax is in effect a VAT

The fact that they have so called true federalism is irrelevant the states could equally have the right to call it VAT . Its effect is the same.

Anyhow you are derailing with this irrelevant distraction from the main issue
You keep coming up with twisted understanding of what you know next to nothing about, seriously, you asked a question I gave you an answer you are now telling me Sales tax is same as VAT when in reality they are both two different systems.Simple logic and no terminology, VAT is Federal and fixed in NIgeria its %20 but sales tax is variable, ie each state in the US has its own %, my friends in Carli tells me they have the highest state sales tax @ %7.25.It will interest you to also know that Since January 2017, 5 states (Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire and Oregon) do not levy a statewide sales tax. And finally copied frm
Sales tax is calculated by multiplying the purchase price by the applicable tax rate. Tax rates vary widely by jurisdiction and range from less than 1% to over 10%. Sales tax is collected by the seller at the time of sale. Use tax is self assessed by a buyer who has not paid sales tax on a taxable purchase. Unlike the value added tax, a sales tax is imposed only at the retail level. In cases where items are sold at retail more than once, such as used cars, the sales tax can be charged on the same item indefinitely but not VAT

I agree with your second statement but how is it relevant?
The law in NIgeria which you may not know is ALL businesses should register for VAT,whereas in the UK your business must have a turnover above £70k or so.

Please let us stick to the topic here .
You have been arguing the multilayer definition and still contradict yourself.
If the container was HANDLED in Lagos where should they pay the VAT.?
When it reaches ist destination is it not HANDLED.?

Why is that VAT not collected.
I would argue that the states there no incentive to do so especially if they don't get the money. In that regard the processes are more efficient in LAgos
Dont worry we are sticking to teh VAT issue, Now let me ask you, going by my same narrative, who owns the VAT collected at the Port AKA handling fees etc? State of Federal govt?

In other words Sales Tax is VAT at the retail level. But Vat is collected at other levels that is what I have been saying all along Now we can agree to dis agree on this which actually is irrelevant. We can argue endlessly about whether milk is a drink or food.

I will not persuade you and you will not persuade me so can we quit wasting time on what is irrelevant here. The issue is about the fact that this tax is collected in Lagos you moaned about handling charge on container ? Was it not handled in Lagos. Why is VAT not levied when your containers are unloaded in Nnewi?
Why is VAT not charged for warehousing in Abakaliki
According to your definition which you have been chewing the curd on then there should be new VAT at every stage of Value addition as your container makes its way to Mgbidi

What you have failed to show is how this VAT is not due in Lagos

The other question is why is Abuja second with 20 % of VAT collection followed by Rivers 6% and Kano5% what is the explanation for that? That is more relevant than whether is is sales or Buys tax

Is this not one of the analyses adeyinka grandson has been presenting in order to make gullible Yoruba see how the Hausa Fulani have been robbing the south especially the SS and SW. Taking large sum of money from the south to fund their unproductive and parasitic regions and to fund the luxurious lifestyles of Abuja politicians. But the yoro muslim - loyal and humble slaves of the caliphate would rather insult the hell out of him and report him to authorities. I wonder if these people are cursed. I just don't get it. Or could it be that they're just imposters disguising as Yoruba Moslems. I don't get how some people could be so daft not to listen to the voice of reason. Now that Ambode has said it, let's hear what these head slammers have to say.
you are a fool for referring your anger to yoruba muslim. Can you reason well without mentioning yoruba muslim? It has become a problem to you and headache is the end result for you.

Why did Ambode find it necessary to speak out when you investigate those two questions you will be close to an answer

You reject special status for lagos but want to continue sharing equally what is being generated from there. Its unfair.

You are the ignorant one but you think you know it all. Please stop talking nonsense. What has VAT got to do with imports?

What is the meaning of initiate and terminate. VAT is the same as Sales or Consumption Tax that means it is paid by the final consumer.
The person who sleeps in the Hotel room, the person who drinks 1000 Naira tea ,the person who watches a movie at silverbird and so on.

Not everything is subject to VAT. There must be Value Added and there is comprehensive guidance. It has NOTHING to do with imported goods which are levied import duties and so on.

VAT is Tax paid mainly by LAGOS RESIDENTS.
In the states they call it Sales Tax and it is not levied by the Federal Government
That guys submission was really weird. It hurt my brain.

Stop trying to make out as if the port accounts for VAT in Lagos. That is rubbish

Why does Abuja generate more VAT Than Kano Rivers State and the entire SE states combined

Was it Lagos State's money they used to build the international Airport,Local Airports and sea port that benefits Lagos State mind you Lagos State collects statutory allocation oil money even to build a bridge is a problem,Tinubu and his men will toll itThey say they don't have the money for the 4th Mainland Bridge they are waiting for Federal Government to build it?,even to build ordinary pedestrian bridge they must cut ribbon, with all the noise of congestion has Lagos State built it's own Airport or seaport? All and All Lagos is still Numero Uno but you can't be a major benefactor of a system and criticize it.

Care to explain that? cos from your write up it seems, you have no clue to what VAT is.
I import say One 40 ft container of Smart phones and Smart Tvs, pay my duty at the port and load my cargo unto waiting truck straight to PHC,
I offload at my warehouse and begin to distribute as whole seller. Akpos buys 10 units of tv and 20 units of smart phones , takes it to warri to retail,He now sold one to Efe, who in turn pays N40k of which %20 is VAT.
Lets test your Brain, betw lagos, PHC and warri, where was teh VAT generated??
Let us test your brain even fjurther Efe Uses his phone to communicate with EVans the Kidnapper who gets his ransom in Lagos? Where was the VAT generated. You keep arguing about how VAT is multilayer multilevel and then you want to localize it to one point .Reality is you do not have the brain power to carry through that argument

VAT is chargeable on CLEAR VALUE ADDITION activities and there is absolutely no limit to the number of times. When you load a truck of beans it is VATable. You Unload in in another state VAtable. Now the Vat would depend on the Salaries of the loaders and overall cost of loading. Lagos would be higher.
The restaurant owner buys the beans and cooks it it is VAtable.

The customer shitts the beans into his soakaway till it is full and calls the Vacuum truck to suck it out again Vatable so your idea of localizing where VAT is generated is really quite foolish .I am not saying you are but sometimes we all say foolish things because of one reason or another

Bitterment.

It was Lagos money that was used to build the port even before the amalgamation of Nigeria. Lagos has always been a net contributor giving more than it receives. check this out

http://libsysdigi.library.illinois.edu/ilharvest/Africana/Books2011-05/3064634/3064634_1898_lagos/3064634_1898_lagos_opt.pdf

The port was built by the British and it was not built for charity but business. In fact business was so good in 1914 When Nigeria merged they moved to Lagos from Calabar. In the 1970 the FG expanded the Port but then they never accounted for all the money they had been getting from the Port from day one > They never paid anyone for the land

I urge you to look at this calculator to see the value £14.5million today that was being generated at that port at a time when

Nigeria did not even exist

Yes they are, why are goods meant for Onitsha shipped through Lagos not Port Harcourt or other ports closer.

Have the Yorubas woken up now? It's one Nigeria o! Please VAT is Unity because sharing it will make us more unified even if Lagos feels it generates more of it than other states.
