Is there discrimination of certificate in employment by employees between Private University and Fed/ State uni?


Would love to know every scientist view on this.
Am a students of a State uni that wants to cross to a private uni to study MLS. I dont want a situation in the future that I will not be preferred or allowed to be placed on same level of opportunity with my colleague in govt owned institutions.

for direct entry, UNILAG now accept MLT.....candidate must have at least pass in medical lab technician diploma examination with not less than a 'B' grade.....so if u av ur MLT cert and u wanna continue with BMLS in lag....u can apply

Wow! Dat's a good news. MLT result is not graded, is either u Pass or Not. Which one is "B Grade"?

They are the same.We have Medical Laboratory Science,Medical laboratory technology,Clinical Laboratory science and Biomedical Sciences.All these names are the same thing,it now depends on the one a particular country decides to adopt.MT and CLS are mostly used by the US.Biomedical is used by the UK.African countries prefer MLS.They have almost the same curriculum,job description,salaries,e.t.c.

I notice most laboratory managers discriminate against men while they favour women in terms of employment. Most of female colleagues easily get placements to lab for hands on technical experience but men are usually not favoured.
