Many mothers treat their children like perfect creatures and only notice imperfection, or rather, 'bad character' in other children. Here are things you need to moderate in your child's growthfare .
.
1. Stop stomaching their gossips. Ma, you are closer to the child, even you sir; stop registering their gossips. 'Mama Nkechi just said sth about you mummy, she did this, she did that.' Even if that what actually Mama Nkechi did, so shun them first before gossip trade become habitual.
.
2. Their eyes' kingdom. Do you ever take note of what they watch at all? Do you? Some movies are rated 18, you don't bother, let alone lampooning them. Do you know that saying 'practice makes perfect?' I bet you do. They are eye-practising, don't worry, they'll attain perfection. How can a child of maybe, seven be advising you not to watch Spartacus , that 'Doctore Bleep up.' ( sad am I really hearing this?)
.
3. Dress Inn. Are you vigilant they are not visiting immoral dress inn? They may get intoxicated. You are the parent, you don't want a bad thing to happen to them, do you? It's at your own peril. Remember, the way you dress, is the way you are addressed.
.
4. What is their pride? Have you ever asked them that question?
.
5. Phonetinent. What do they spend time doing online most? I understand this is a technological world. smiley Tell me, what's technological being useless? Ha ha, pornofacebookgram right?
.
6. Company. Do moderate the caliber of people they keep. That saying: 'show me your friend and I'll tell you who....' smiley finish it.
.
7. Rearing a glutton. Minimize the tank of food you give them all in the name of feeding. House-girl eats a piece of meat and your son takes eight pieces. Don't worry, father karma visit is inevitable.
.
8. TV hours. This should be limited. Too much of everything is good's brother.
.
9. Outward approach. How do they treat others? Do they treat others in a way somebody with parental upbring would do?
.
10. Now you! It ends it all; moderate you.
.

True...especially what they watch, their Internet access, and how they dress. I am really scared to have kids in this age...the exposure is too much. The internet is number one problem.

When most if not all the parents still do the things you mentioned above how would they now train their children.
Its like holding a stick of cigarette and telling another person not to smoke.

While growing up i was told by someone who smokes not to smoke.
I have never smoked.
Is it because of that advice?
Tell me?
But what I know is that, our decisions are for our own good.
So even a father tells his son to down 10 mugs of beer, if he likes, let him do because he is obeying his father.
But it is his liver and kidneys that will bear the burden.
The resistance to sickness and consequences differ in every man.
Mr. A smoking, drinking and clubbing is no reason that trend won't kill Mr B if he follows suit.

Nooo, that's not why Africa is backwards. Those rules up there are practiced in a sane environment. I'm even quite surprised a Nigerian is advocating for it, we are improving our mentality smiley

Most parents are rarely at home. .Most of these kids train themselves others learn from their nannies.

Most parents believe that food, shelter, clothing and probably western education are all a child needs.
