My princess made a grand appearance yesterday, 19th October, 2017. God did it like I asked, got to hospital at 10:35am,6cm dilated, birthed her at 12:25am. She weighed 3.5kg without tear.
Swift and supernatural delivery.

May God grant even a better testimony to other preggie mommas.
My fellow October teamies, worry not its our month of stress-free harvest.

Lmao. Welcome. Sorry I'm laughing. That's how it pained me when it happened to me. Same 38 weeks, during my maternity photoshoot I just saw marks..I couldn't cry

Mamas, abeg this shea Butter and coconut oil is scam , after applying both religiously on my tummy, the stretch marks now decided to come out at the eleventh hour(38 wks).i couldn't cry... 8 tiny lines of stretch marks and I didn't even scratch my tummy at all(I used to think one gets tummy stretch marks from scratching).

So I guess it's the more my tummy stretches to accommodate the baby , the more marks.but the only advantage is dat my tummy and marks ain't dark . I have being wearing my marks with pride sha, hopefully it fades off after my Lo is out!!

Now I know tummy wey go get stretch marks go get o if u like use all the orisirisi you know on it.

Please mamas help me o. Last night i started feeling some painful tightness in the upper part of my abdomen(from under my breast to my navel). It really hurts it lasts for some time and then stops for sometime. I couldnt sleep through the night and when the tightness starts i cannot move my body due to the pain. I went for scan this morning before heading to the hospital. Sonographer says no problem with baby. The nurse on duty prescribed valium and paracetamol for me that if it doesnt improve in 2days i should be back asap. She also gave me strict bed rest. Is this normal? Or should i be worried.
PS. this is my 33/34th week

My opinion is that it is heartburn, I get the chest pain sometimes, very severe like a deep heavy pain. I treat it with honey and that proves to be a fast effective cure for heartburn. If you have honey try it and see if it helps.
Infact I got the same pain this afternoon after eating one pepperish jollof rice. I think you pain is heartburn sha.

No you're not. Hot water can loosen epi stitches and should be avoided

Was told to come for inducement on Wednesday 19th but I was scared.my pastor told me to relax baby would come before then.Tuesday night contractions started with the bloody show .I bore it till morning and intended getting to the office first. But the pains changed my mind .got the hospital 8 o'clock. They checked and said I was 6cm and broke the membrane. Then the mad pains started.I bore it well till 12. No improvement. 2 o'clock no improvement. Chia I started speaking in tongues. I was hungry and begging for food. But I couldn't eat.they checked 3 o clock.still 6cm.this time I was crying and begging the baby to come out.
The doctor decided to tell me what was happening then.the cervix had oedema and u mustn't push if not I will have a torn cervix. They increased the pitocin and I progressed to 9 cm but was warned not to push.my baby was pushing had to come out. I was pushing him back.my sisters I see fire.it was war.

He would push out. I will hold back.doctor was always checking and telling me not to push out at any condition.he gave me an injection. Water started gushing out of my body during contraction. The water gushed out. While I hold my baby back while my baby tries to come out.we continued till 6 o'clock. He checked and said my cervix was now clear and opened.then I started running temperature cos I was tired and hungry and I had been in my left side all day.injections started again and the temperature came down.

Was told to push.I pushed twice was given a tear and my guy came out ,4kg.he didn't cry on time cos he had gone through a lot of stress.but thank God after enough slaps.he cried.got to know the sex.( 6ultra sound didn't show)/to God be the glory I was discharged the next day.mum alive.baby alive.thank u Jesus.

BS continued....

So on monday 25sep, I was scared being my first surgery. The Dr came and explain how the procedure will go in Oder to calm me,I said let the will of God be done. They fixed the catheter and I was taken into the theatre,was injected in my spine then from my waist down became numb. They brought out the 1st at 11.10am then the 2nd at 11.15am and we were done but the after pain no be here o. I was shivering after the procedure & couldn't move my legs until much later in the night, I didn't see my babies until the following day...by the 3rd day when they removed the plaster on the incision site, I was told my skin reacted to it I.e it peeled off my skin, I feel so much pain around there too. So they started treatment on it & I was being observed.

4th day in the hospital, it was discovered that twin 1 had mild jaundice, they started treatment on him, put him under the light for some days until he was OK. Then same twin 1 was not feeding well compared to twin 2, the dr later told us that he is hypoglycemic(don't know if I spelt it correctly), a condition whereby baby's blood sugar level is low due to low feeding and if not treated could lead to brain damage, on hearing that I started crying. Baby was placed on drip for about 24hrs, then by the time the drip was removed, baby's hand reacted to the plaster(I wonder if it's a fake plaster since mother & child reacted same way to it) holding down the drip injection, his hands became swollen with water in it, we were advised not to burst the water to avoid infection. I watched everyday as my baby was being punched with needles here & there to get his blood sample so as to run tests on him, I literally cried every day when there's was little/ no improvement. Until one day, I decided to feed my baby myself. Throughout the night I make sure I feed him both breast & formula, even when he's sleeping I wake him & force him to eat and by the following morning when he was tested again, he was certified OK as his sugar level had increased. We later discharged, I just want to give thanks to my heavenly father for fighting my battles & giving us victory eventually!!!

I started taking pregnacare plus not long after I found I was pregnant based on advice I got here from some mamas..

however, when I visited my hospital for the first pregnancy checkup (not antenatal) at about 7 weeks, doc specifically told me to stop using pregnacare, that what they recommend and give at this hospital is just folic acid and ferrous (iron). and that's what they been giving me.

although, he said pregnacare is not bad, but they don't recommend it.. me I don't even like it. the pregnacare drugs are too fat for my throat's liking and smells one kain, enough to make me vomit sef.. but I believe it has the right quantity of folic acid and other things, so there's really no need to take the two together..just take either one.. ur body needs just 400mcg of folic acid daily. Also, I learnt there's exactly nothing like overdose of folic acid. Your body takes just the right amount it needs and disposes the rest..

my hospital also starts antenatal at 12weeks, I believe it's roughly the same everywhere too.. but it's advisable to be going to the hospital on ur own regularly before antenatal starts.. just to be sure all is well with u and ur baby..

Yes is good to register early and if there is any injection to supplement the hormones like progesterone, the hospital can start giving you on time....I started at 5 weeks and started taking progrsterone injection weekly up until 14 weeks that the placenta took over. This helped me alot..Even when I spotted all through 7 to 10 weeks, the progesterone helped and kept the embyro going

About Pregnacare, my Doctor ask me to continue with It, mine is Pregnacare Original, + Separate 5mg Folic acid. So I agree that you should up your folic acid. Just got back from ANC now.

I don't mean to scare you...
I always registered for ANC at 6weeks.
It was one of those early registration that my miscarriage was found at 9weeks. Tell me, if I had waited for 12weeks, what will happen.
Lots of ladies here can testify to this....
It's same cost, so why wait?
I advise Pregnacare Original if you want to go the route of Pregnacare, however add 5mg Folic to it.
My Doctor today was encouraging me to continue mine, or do I want the one from hospital? Guess my answer.

It is well with us and out babies

Antenatal usually starts at 12weeks except in some cases you need earlier booking.
You should have started pregnacare by now,I understand it's mostly important in the first trimester. I use pregnacare max.ised it for my first baby too. Any brand of pregnacare is fine anyway, just look up and decide.

I took catfish today prepared with all the ingredient though i didnt take the water i only ate the fish and tasted the water only. Please i hope it wont have any effect? shocked

though i aint taking it again...May God protect me and my Baby...

Lemme Rant...

Please am i the only one experiencing this? no morning Sickness(though i dont wish for it) and i dont even feel pregnant the only feeling i do have is being tired after a stressful day and some funny feeling on my jajaina. Just want to know how pregnancy feels... embarassed
