Ali b. AbiTalib reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) prohibited on the Day of Khaibar the contracting of temporary marriage with women and the eating of the flesh of domestic asses.

'Ali (Allah be pleased with him) heard that Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) gave some relaxation in connection with the contracting of temporary marriage, whereupon he said: Don't be hasty (in yourreligious verdict), Ibn 'Abbas, for Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) on the Day of Khaibar prohibited for ever the doing of it-And eating of the flesh of domestic asses.

# I love this Sunni Hadith for two reasons:

1. It exposed a timeframe fraud.

2. Only Ali allegedly reported the Hadith

3. It declare Ibn Abbas as "defiant".

EXPLANATION

1. According to Sunni's Hadith, the first chronological date where the Prophet "prohibited" Mut'ah was at Khaybar. This is in the 7th year of Hijrah.

# According to Sunni reports, after Khaybar, Prophet allowed Mut'ah at Fat'h Makkah (conquest of Makkah) in the 9th year of Hijrah, making the Khaybar's prohibition expired. Then, according to Sunni Hadith, after few nights, Mut'ah was declared "prohibited" at the night of Makkah's conquest. Yet, again it was re-allowed, and finally in the last hajj, it was "prohibited finally" at the last Hajj in the 10th year of Hijrah.

# Question: Why would Ali reference "Hadith of Khaybar of 7th year of Hijrah" to Ibn Abbas when after Khaybar, Mut'ah was re-allowed? We expect Ali to use the "prohibition at Conquest of Makkah or Last Hajj (as some Sunni Ulama suggested that it is the same).


2. The Hadith" that Nabi prohibited donkey's meat at Khaybar" was reported by LOTS of sahabah like Ibn Umar, Ibn Mas'ud etc etc NONE of them except Ali add the phrase "...and Mut'ah" to the Hadith. Were others failed to hear it?


3. The abovementioned athar that Ali told Ibn Abbas of Mut'ah prohibition, if it is true, only portray Abdullah ibn Abbas as a defiant who heard the prohibition of the Prophet but continue to engage in "prohibited act of Mut'ah" throughout his life. That is KUFR by Sunni's standard.
