Well, if it is cancerous, the end may be too painful. Reason with her to see reasons why you should see to her cure first. Marriage is not chess.

You said she has three years to live but you are counting on her living through this and building your home? Kinda confusing.

Anyway, if truly you love her and that's gotta be a on a really deeper level, nothing wrong with putting a ring on it. I can marry a terminally sick person, nothing strange about it. Healthy today but anyone of us may be sick tomorrow.
