thank you brother, how I wish many Christian will understand that men of God are just human like us,I still have a pastor friend I do correct and advice,I'm from a Christian home which most of my family members are pastors and I know how we do relate, remain small thing God for don call me since grin
Exactly. We are all human beings but the way the average Christian elevates a pastor to the position of a mediator is really alarming.

Judgement is condemnation. For instance, telling someone that they would go to hell. That is condemnation (judgement). Only God can judge.

Judgement can also be positive. But in all, only God can judge.
Are you saying that all the criminal courts on the planet are invalid, according to the Bible?

That bosses don't have a right form opinions and make decisions because 'only god can judge'?

I was in a service one day and the man of God said the members shouldn't advice him when they feel that he is not living up to expectation, rather they should go on their knee and pray. I want to know the proper thing to do in such situation.
Yes, you have to walk up to them to advice. Catholic priest always says that when they are wrong, come and tell them what they are doing is wrong, rather than sit and condemn.
Please, go with love to tell your pastor that he is wrong.

We are talking about spiritual matters here. God does not need to form an opinion to judge.

How does one make a judgment without forming an opinion?

On what basis is the judgment made?

All the advice people have been giving them fall on deaf ears. Are the pastor's deaf or they're just too pompous angry

That was how one pastor was supporting his member that wanted to dupe my sister. Shouting at my sister and my sister was letting him shout cos he's a pastor.
My lawd, I nearly beat up both pastor and member when I got there till agreed to refund the complete money.

Bro, I said we were discussing spiritual matters here and not legal and/or common knowledge. Men need to form opinions to pass judgement but God does not. In spiritual matters, you are not to pass judgement but can criticize and/or correct, albeit, in love.

For instance, an example of criticism and/or correction is "your sermon is unbiblical. You made it seem like pastors should be seen as mediators but the Bible says otherwise. Let us check the Bible and see how it puts it".

An example of passing judgement is: "God, your sermon was terrible. You are going to hell for sure."

This may not agree with the legalistic or general sense of the word "judgement" because I am using it contextually with regard to the Bible. Do not judge as used in Bible means not to condemn. You can correct one another but you are not allowed to condemn people.

The Bible makes it evident that God is not against legalistic judgement. After all, we are expected to give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to respect constituted authority.

Reverend fathers confess to reverend fathers who confess to themselves. Ur comment was not well thought of and spews of hypocrisy and ignorance cos u wanted to attack the church which u knew nothing about.
The topic though is very important and matured. I have no scruples telling them, pastors and priests when I feel they are wrong. Its one thing to be an adult and listen, its another thing to feel pompous and not. Who looses, the person that is being adviced and failed to learn nothing. No one knows it all. No one holy pass.

Another dead brain, uninformed idiot on the loose. You don't know what happens in the Catholic Church. You don't know how priests so their confession. So why not shut your useless mouth up instead of dabbling into what you don't understand, like a fool?

who are you to advise a man of God? Get on your knees and pray for him. If he didn't change, then it's about time you changed your church.
When will you wake up from your spiritual blindness to realise that you have the same access and right to God like your pastor? Who stuffed your brain with this stupid notion that you have no right to advise a man of God? It is people like you that will place the word of a pastor above that of your husband. You won't also mind defending a pastor even if he is obviously wrong. Girl look into your mirror and whoever you find there is the most thoughtless fool that ever traversed the earth.

Any pastor who can't take correction,is that one a pastor. The person who wishes to give the advice/correction must present it with wisdom though.

Matthew 18:2-4 (KJV)
2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven

We're all subject to the word. Contrary to what pple portray online, pastors are not greater than the members but scripturally on earth they are shepherds/eaders. Pastors should not command any special respect we're all appointed men and women of God.

Afam4eva:
Why should you advise a Pastor when he's next after God. He can't do any wrong. The moment a person is proclaimed a pastor, he can't do any wrong. He's half spirit/half human. Even asking this kind of question may annoy God.
This sarcasm though...
