mr1759: Illiteracy. Look up what anachronism means. I do not see what is more anachronistic than lifting the use/context of Lagos of pre-1970s for present day discourse. Outside being able to write English averagely, you are not so educated. And I’m from Ile-Ife and very proud of my backgrounds. It is the duty of every Yoruba son and daughter to protect every inch of Yoruba soil, hence I can talk about Lagos which is mostly Awori & Ijebu lands, both groups are very Yoruba 3 Likes |

DMerciful: science can explain it....those people who go to conquer other kingdoms and stay these people thier hometown as already been over populated lack of food or some might have been banished by thier people and some in search of a better life...while d other hand those who go and conquer other kingdom but dont stay are bascially for political reasons ,selfcentredness and mostly carry their family to rule |

DMerciful:Benin war tactics was to make vassals out of new territory not to occupy them. usually the local chiefs remains and a Bini prince is made their head, the local Chief owns the lands and pays homage but the Bini Prince make the major decisions. the hausas on the other hand impose their religion and fully occupy conquered territories. 1 Like |

Ubenedictus: Look up Oloto. Eleko was not king of Aworis, he only reigned on his patch of land and not even as a king. The British and then Lagos politicians are the reasons behind Eleko’s relevance. |

mr1759:stop saying rubbish. I am a descendant of Oramiyan through his son--Oba Eweka of Benin. but I am now in the Urhobo Tribe in Delta state. therefore I am a prince from the Royal House of Benin. my ancestor left Benin and went to Urhobo land to form his own kingdom in Delta state. |
