makydebbie:
Hey, mummy said it's highly impossible to get a self contain with 70 cedis in Accra. sad
makydebbie:
Even mum shouted, "self contain 70 cedis??" cheesy
And you know these owners may sell higher to a Nigerian sef.
makydebbie:
Hmm, not only that accommodation is expensive at Accra, but other things like food items and transportation too. I think since you're starting afresh, you should go for Kumasi it's a wise decision. But if you insist. 70 cedis monthly? I'll ask my mum if it's possible and get back to you.
thanks so much dee. i;m greatful. i'd surely settle for kumasi. but do you know anyone you can hook me with that can assist in this accommodation ish.. i can surely sort all others out. living and surviving won't be a problem. but the accommodation is just my major concern. please if you know anyone please, kindly link me up. if it's like they won't ask for two or three years rent, then i can still be able to go for something like 100 cedis. but i learnt they are always good at asking for two to three years advancement.

lol exactly, to a Nigerian the owner will say 300/400 cedis last Prize, take it or leave it. you know how your friends from that side like to show off. nowadays people don't believe them even if they say they are huslers. people think they have lots of cash meanwhile many of them are broke.
lol... my country people yaff spoil everything. God will help us.

Honestly, I agree. They show off, those ones with money. Especially the ones who are involved in fraudulent activities. That's enough to increase the price unless he has a Ghanaian friend or family that can vouch for him.

Go there, stay in a hostel or low budget hotel for a few days first while looking for a house to rent. Ghana is not far from Nigeria so go there first.

hi guys, please i'm trying to move to ghana for the time being. (like just want to settle there for a while). And i'm having issues in thinking the right city through. I need someone that knows much about accra and kumasi to help me with the best to move to. I need you to please talk about, standard of living, jobs (i am into media works), lifestyle (like beach and shoppiing mall) and then taxi prices and finally safety. Thanks.... Makkydebbie makkydee please what do you have, to say to me?

Check tonaton.com for apartment. my advice make sure u have @least a contact in kumasi or accra to avoid bad stories. Lastly setting up a business in Ghana as a foreigner isnt that easy. try and meet legit Nigerian in Accra or kumasi to know whatsup abt the two city.

yea i rented apartment from the 600 USD.. I am in Kumasi and it's cheap, basically everything is cheap, but don't bother to convert money.. That's the wahala.. But according to their own currency here, it is cheap, you'd get taxi for 2 cedis or 5 cedis, bread 5 cedis (the shoprite type of bread) and many others. Though 5 cedis if changed to naira would be something N420 or so.. But since you'd be spending cedis, you just have to concentrate to it, and with their economy and their currency, it's cheap. House rent 3 years, you might get some places that they'd give it out for 2 years but they will surely collect 2 years and above.. And some landladies (about two) didn't rent out their house (room) to me because i am a Nigerian, they said some of their friends have some Nigerians in their place and they (Nigerians) do cause alot of trouble.. It was the third landlady i met that gave me a room cuz she said she has been to Nigeria once and they were so nice to her. I heard things are somehow expensive in Accra than here anyway.
