grin grin grin I was so surprised
I wasn't expecting to see any here coupled with the fact that my city is small, and the white people here are more.

Wow! Even that one store would be very expensive right?
Blacks in America literally had to fight for foundation colors that suits our tonecheesy..
Lol! Don't be jealous I will use them on your behalf tongue.
Don't worry, I'm pretty sure with time there will be more options for you guys there.
Sending a pm soon kiss

On a side note
I just realised that the hair cream I got from Nigeria is hair wonder. Its a really nice product and it worked perfectly for my relaxed hair. So I'm guessing their products will work fine for natural hair too.
Funny enough I abandoned it somewhere lipsrsealed

Loool! Yh, things are changing. It's just too slow...unfortunately. By the time my daughter is born sha, things will have changed grin

Hair wonder should work on natural hair too. Everyone here is saying it's fine ..never used it before though

They are. You should Google it

And to think they want to be praised for selling darker shades when it's just two

grin

And when they complain about us not buying those 2, I mean it's not even our shade grin. Yet there are millions of different shades of white, I don't even know the difference between some 'cos they are almost the same color. Even mixed people rarely find their own shade. Ebony = a very light caramel, loool! Nude= a very pale pink

Depends on how tight those braids are. As long as you go easy around your edges and your hair is very moisturised then you're good.

Yes grin

I definitely know the difference! grin. Some are more pale than the others. Those ones find it hard too getting their foundation shade, I heard. It's like the lightest and we the darker shades find it hard. Those on the middle find it easier

Yes mixed people are blacks too na. I've actually seen some who are more on the brown/dark skinned side. You won't believe they are mixed till they tell you

To be honest I don't really notice grin white is white grin. I'll start looking properly lol. But yeah you are right, a blonde person is more likely to be more pale than someone with brown hair.

There's this mixed guy I know who refuses to be called black, lmao!!!

He says he's "broooown" grin

Nice work here lovelygurl.
I prepoo with olive oil and deep condition with honey, do you think they are good enough substitutes? I also learnt from someone that mayonnaise (for cooking) can be used as a protein treatment for the hair and it's really good for the hair. What do you think? And please one more thing, I've been carrying thread or cornrows under wigs for weeks now I'm tired and I want to make a protective style I can wear outside, something that'll be simple but cool and professiona, need your suggestions please attach pictures thank you. By the way my natural hair is only long enough for two buns did the big chop in July this year grin

Protective styling inspiration smiley

You can make box braids or twists: simple and easy to style.. This can also last for a month depending on how you take care of it.

feed in braids:
You can also google for more options.. This is pretty simple and professional. More like cornrows but done stylishly

Crotchet: you can even do this yourself, if you know how to make the cornrows. You can also get someone make it for you and then you crotchet the hair in. Watch videos on YouTube for better understanding. There are also different kinds of crotchet hair, you can even use your regular attachments.

I get all my style inspiration from Youtube cos I was too shy to wear my hair out after the chop grin so you can also watch videos kiss

Thank you a lot tho I was thinking of a style with my natural hair no attachments, my hair is now long enough I'm able to hold up two buns. Thank you

You'd be surprised how effective those diys work. You just have to find the right one for you. As long as your hair is popping who cares about what you used to achieve it grin. I tried the oil and honey deep conditioner once. It really worked, I just found it quite messy. I have not tried any mayonnaise though because my hair hates proteins but I don't see a reason why you shouldn't. A lot of YouTubers do.

There's this fulani inspired braids that's been trending for a while. I think they are quite dope

Moisturised natural hair, if the hair is then the braids will be too. It can be achieved by deep conditioning. Maybe moisturise the edges everyday but I don't think you have to moisturise your braids everyday

Oh lovelygurl, I'm so happy right now. grin

It's been long house, I have stopped quarreling with my hair and made peace. Since my hair hates anything product so much I've gone natural. I no longer use shampoo and conditioner cos it's a waste of time actually. angry

My hair has grown so much since I started listening to it. My hair is a low maintenance chick cheesy who cares? It is favoring me.

One thing I've noticed and which perplexed me is this... whenever I twist with my natural hair and leave it for weeks it grows in length. No hair styles have done this.

Does it mean I have to be twisting my hair always? I'm getting tired of it but it seems that's what my hair likes best.

***

I wanted to show pictures so you can see how my hair is now and how it has grown lengthy just from twists alone. But bad network.
