I am not sure why the NBA continues to disrespect Curry, I mean, the kid has done everything within his power. At this point, I am convinced its just jealousy, nothing more. How on earth does "THE TRUTH" compare Wall to Curry, worth more crowing Wall the best PG in the league.

COMEON MAN!!!!!!

it's because curry is light skinned, if the dude is as black as wall or cp3, they would be claiming he is the best guard since guguru and epa came into inception
Re: The NBA Begins by Hardetayour: 11:02pm On Oct 27, 2017
Because Wall runs like an headless chicken. Curry picks his spots and doesn't have to run 100km/h to have an effect on the game.

As bad as Curry has been shooting from 3 this season, he still averages more than 20 points a game.

They just hating and it's not about skin color anymore. It's Pure HATE

Wow. I don't understand why someones complexion has to be brought into everything.

This man won a unanimous MVP, the first ever, maybe that's cause he's light skinned too Yeah?

Considered the greatest shooter of all time by most, cause he's light skinned...

Credited with redefining the game when it comes to 3 point shooting, cause he's light skinned.

Most beloved player in the NBA, because he's light skinned...

When some bums decided to say he's better than LeBron, it's also because he's light skinned...

The most highly rated rookies, Simmons and Lonzo, cause they're light skinned.

I don't know what curry fans want honestly, not saying wall is better than him, but playing for the warriors I would understand why his ability would be downplayed.

But why have some black people been dealt with the complex that everything that doesn't go their way is somehow about complexion?

For GSW fan girls everything that doesn't go their way, there has to be a conspiracy behind it.
Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 11:15pm On Oct 27, 2017
Complexion and being born "wealthy" play into their opinions about him whether you agree or not. The evidence is there.

You say playing with the Warriors has to do with it but nobody saw this Warriors as anything prior to Kerr in 14/15.

I don't know which part of the season will make Paul Pierce make this claim. Curry is averaging 29ppg at this point and Wall just got outfoxed by a rookie Lonzo.

I like Wall, but, this season he has not been the best PG in the east so I can't understand where Pierce is coming from. But it is all good.

Paul Pierce is also an Im becile who has been known to make ridiculous comments every once in a while. Why even take him seriously?

Ben Simmons and Lonzo were also born "wealthy" compared to these guys. I wonder why this hatred hasn't extended to them.

The hatred stemmed from the fact that he has a different skin color from the nba norm superstars. We saw the same thing in 11 when couple of guys made fun of dirk.

People can choose to ignore that his skin color has something to do with it, but we can't deny it. It's pretty obvious

what are you on about?

we are talking about those guys in the Nba or that played in the nba, you are talking about use regular fans.

Everything you listed up there that curry did, He did, and he couldn't be denied.

Not talking about fans, talking about well established NBA facts.

I like how he said did and couldn't be denied.

When he does something that couldnt be denied and then hes denied then you can come here playing well i wont call it race card but "complexion card".

There's only one thing that's pretty obvious and it's the fact that you have a complex.

Have you lived with African Americans? If you haven't, please don't try to act like you understand what i am saying. Having a fair complexion, and not going through the struggles of a day to day African American Struggle is one of the reasons why a lot of Nba stars refuses to accept the fact. But ok o, After na, you will be yapping on about your IQ but you can't comprehend.

Accept which fact?

Mind you you're talking about Paul Pierce here. Someone known for making outrageous claims about everything and everyone.

We accept that Paul talks out his ärse. We are just saying he is not the only NBA star that "disrespects" Curry this way.

No disrespect to Lonzo and Simmons but they are not yet superstars to be pit with Curry in this conversation. Curry is treated like a privileged kid. Whenever players want to compliment his shooting they would always tack "His dad was a good shooter himself" at the end of the sentence to remind everyone that Curry's dad played professional basketball and therefore taught him.

It is a subtle way of saying "if some of us had the same dad or upbringing we would be as good". You may not agree but it is a fact. If you listen to contemporary rap music you would know that Drake feels the same way.

He constantly complains that "his struggle seems different than others". They downplay whatever he achieves and make it seem like he had it easy compared to other "black" rappers.

In the same way, Dirk Nowitzki and Eminem get treated with the same disdain for being white in a predominantly black man's sport. How many top 5 rappers lists will they place Eminem there even when he does everything better than other black rappers who lived before or after him?

It is the same way in the NBA. The only people who don't succumb to that narrative are the fans and perhaps the journalists that voted him MVP twice etc.

NBA stars don't like him because of the privilege he receives as the league's "Golden boy". I think sources have confirmed this.

Same comparison happens for every NBA player who had a relative who played the game. When they talk about his brother Seth they can't help but compare him to his brother, it's not a matter of reminding people what his Dad did, its just like saying it runs in the family or something like that. Same goes for kyrie and his Dad and kyrie isnt light skinned. And what if his Dad taught him? Most NBA players learn from somewhere so I don't understand how this related to him being "light skinned".

If complexion influenced opinions not performance then markelle who was better than Lonzo in college would be ranked or rated higher. Simmons wouldn't be seen as the future transcendental player he is seen as.

LMAO. Drake gets stick because he associates himself with gangsta life and hood struggles, something he clearly has no right to claim. Makes him fake as hell. If he had stuck to singing or rapping in a different style or about different issues like say kid cudi no one would come for him.

Why doesn't Chris Brown or even tyga get the same stick?

In the same way, Dirk Nowitzki and Eminem get treated with the same disdain for being white in a predominantly black man's sport. How many top 5 rappers lists will they place Eminem there even when he does everything better than other black rappers who lived before or after him?
I don't know what you've been reading but show me one list of great rappers that doesn't have Eminem in its top 5 because I know a lot actually place him at number one. Something I personally don't agree with. But this is a subjective issue so I won't fault you for having your opinions, no matter how ridiculous it seems to me.

It is the same way in the NBA. The only people who don't succumb to that narrative are the fans and perhaps the journalists that voted him MVP twice etc.
It seems fans interacting with each other and meeting other fans with this 're tarded opinion makes fans the only people with this notion. I have never heard any player or anyone within the NBA openly come out and say anything about his complexion playing a factor in their opinion about him so until then or proven otherwise it doesn't exist.

Again this is Paul Pierce, he says stu pid things, why should you care? Why would there be such outrage around the NBA if it wasn't so shocking or if they disrespected Steph?

Westbrook did things last year everyone thought was impossible. He wasn't unanimous MVP, nor is he considered the best PG. He didn't say it's cause he's not light skinned.

Privilege pre and now in the NBA makes more sense as a motive than skin complexion, but even that is reaching. Especially amongst people who are within the same community.
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 2:35am On Oct 28, 2017
Once a player becomes seen primarily as a shooter his stock goes down. Ray Allen who was an amazing player is now mostly remembered for being a shooter and he was a lot more than that.

No one ever said it's cause he's dark skinned.

We all know the narrative the NBA was pushing especially in 2015 and 2016.

https://www.si.com/nba/2016/06/02/stephen-curry-lebron-james-face-nba-warriors-cavaliers

We all know when everyone claimed curry was the face of the NBA and not LeBron.

No one ever claimed the NBA is prematurely trying to dump their best player for someone light skinned.
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 2:45am On Oct 28, 2017
Even if this "phantom prejudice" you claim exists then maybe it's fuelled cause on the grander scheme of things there's no denying lighter skinned players/people have more mainstream appeal and get away with a lot more than darker skinned players/people do. This is a more pressing story than harmless jealously.

That's even if somehow you were right and I really don't think you are.
