Context. Stop bloviating.
Exactly, you keep taking things out of context.

You mean if I say KD is great [but he has great players around him in GSW] takes nothing away from him?
LOL! Whathuh

By saying hes great you've already summed him up. If you had said hes only a great player because he has great players around him then that implies its not his doing, then that takes away from him.

Stop calling people words that aptly describe you.
I know it is hard for you but try not to be a tad stoopid. I mentioned privilege AND complexion. Seasoned journalists agree with me. Draymond agrees with me. What are you waffling about?
Who are these seasoned neutral journalists that agree with you about his complexion?

I warned you to know who you are talking to. I can reel out many of his lyrics depicting his feelings of underappreciation from his peers. So stop tossing redherrings about him saying being light-skinned helped him sell more albums (I already said he sold many albums). He also said being light-skinned helped Obama become president. Now compare what he means to what is being discussed and stop confirming that all that high IQ talk was a hoax.
LMAO! grin grin grin grin

Can you please post these lyrics small fry? Has any neutral rapper shown anything but respect towards j cole? Please tell me who. Again the fact that he is in the conversation for best rapper alive and this is universally agreed shows how appreciated he is. no one appreciates drake cause hes a bum. Its not about complexion.

Edit: 2013 article by the way. Very recent. Touché. As used by a big fry. These jokes write themselves.
Unless he recanted his statements citing inebriation or duress or his complexion has changed since this period what he said still applies.

Painful reading your comments when you're trying so hard to sound clever when your thought process clearly exposes that you're not.

If the statement was made this way, there would be no implication. You have directly stated why he is great. Subtlety in language has to do with inferred, deduced, implied, indirect meanings. You're hopeless.

To show you how bereft of facts you are; I would let you type "JCole and Underappreciated or Underrated" and see how many links you would get about the issue being discussed. It is only in your imagination that JCole is universally agreed as anything. I won't even speak about Drake because at this point in his career compared to Jay-Z (same point), Drake is 10 times more successful.

Unless he recanted his statements citing inebriation or duress or his complexion has changed since this period what he said still applies.
That being light-skinned helped him sell more albums? How does it relate with being underrated by some of your peers?

Take home assignment; just like Nowitzki, Google Christian Laettner for another evidence that complexion can taint how a player is rated. You may add Grant Hill to the mix. He was the first real version of a privileged light-skinned black guy who never got his due credit from his peers. And stop arguing with me. I will bludgeon you with hard facts.

You have chosen to analyze my post based on the beal incident versus the history of D. Green which I have maintained since D. Green came into limelight.
Let me patronize your argument for a few lines, take a closer look at this video fro 2:29 and tell me what you see with Green's right hand before the Beal slap.

Everyone knows who Draymond is. I agree. He has an history of these things.

He was boxing out, his hands would definitely touch Beal. But Beal had to scratch him in his face like a lady and grabbed his neck. Then his teammates were dapping him like he just won them the NBA Finals.

I watched the video several times.

Lets compare our two statements now.

You mean if I say KD is great [but he has great players around him in GSW] takes nothing away from him?

One statement attributes him being great to those around him, not individual merit.

The other implies that a player is great on his own but has other greats around him as well.

And what due credit do they deserve again? How are they unappreciated by their peers again?

Its usual for even the greatest of rappers to claim they arent getting enough respect. what i cant see is where he said he isnt respected because hes light skinned.

Lets summarize some of your arguments here

Light skinned NBA players arent respected by their peers because of their complexion.

When they mention an nba players father its to belittle his abilities.

J cole isnt respected.

Drake > Jay Z.

Atta boy!

At this point you just keep throwing sh it on the wall and hoping something sticks. I know subtlety in language will fly over you like pedestrian bridges.

The other statement admits the player is great but chinks his armour by implying that he may not be as great without the others around him. Jeezus!

Everyone agreed that Harden and Brodie had equally great seasons. But the journalists who voted the latter MVP claimed they did so because he achieved what he did in a relatively weaker team. By inference, they were saying Harden's season was simply not as great - thus, underrating his achievements.

Your first link is dated 2014. I know you are a rank pseudointellectual so I would try to help you out. Secondly, isolated references and preferences mean zilch. I can write a blog and say who is the best rapper alive between 21 Savage and Rick Ross. It does not mean it is universally agreed. Let me show you a quote from that first link;

Kendrick has a better reputation for consistency among hip-hop nerds, but with Cole's stellar new album "2014 Forest Hills Drive," the North Carolinian ROC rapper is finally receiving some well deserved critical acclaim.

Even the writer agrees that JCole is "FINALLY" receiving some acclaim. Which implies he was not receiving it before.

As for your second link. Hear what the writer was addressing and don't get drawn by sensational headlines. I warned you to mind who you are engaging as you won't come out a hero.

While collaborative friends, hip-hop heads have been debating who's the greatest rapper of the two for awhile now.

As you can see, the writer is comparing who is greater between the two. A poll at the end of the article cements my argument. If that were not so, then the writer would be implying that Jay-Z is not in the conversation for who the greatest rapper alive is.

Your last link pretty much sums up how subjective the question is. [Peep the last name they inserted into the mix grin]. Again, that person was simply asking for people's preferences amongst the three of them.

Yeah j cole is very under appreciated
In his own words which I quoted. Argue with him.

The fact that you're comparing drake to jay z has destroyed any hope one has that you're at least capable of any reasoning.
Comparing Jay Z's first 10 years into the game to Drake's 10 years. Yes, Drake is 10 times more successful.

You argument is based on complexion, which you have still been unable to prove.
Draymond agrees. KD agrees. Chris Broussard agrees. Stephen A Smith agrees. I gave you Laettner who was the best ever NCAA player yet he was villified and maligned. I gave you Grant Hill who even Chris Webber and Jalen Rose admitted they hated simply because his dad was a famous quarter back and his mum was roommate with Hillary Clinton at Yale. They hated that he; light-skinned, handsome, rich and attended Duke. As a result, they never gave him the credit for being a great b-baller. They only admitted this recently. You can watch the documentary on the "Fab five" (ESPNs 30 for 30) for evidence.

Its usual for even the greatest of rappers to claim they arent getting enough respect. what i cant see is where he said he isnt respected because hes light skinned.
Where did Steph say it for Chris Broussard and Draymond to surmise that it is the case with him? Where did Dirk say it? What about Eminem? Did he say it too?

Even if they did, evidence shows you won't have a clue. We can tender this thread in a court of law for example, but then, knowing you, what that means is your posts on here can be used as proof that you have comprehension issues.

Lets summarize some of your arguments here

Light skinned NBA players arent respected by their peers because of their complexion.
Some of them. Don't forget the some before someone starts asking me about non-entities like Simmons and Lonzo.

When they mention an nba players father its to belittle his abilities.
NBA player's father who played professionally and is well-recognized and then relate his son's skills to his in a way that shows the son may not have had that skill without his dad. Yes, it shades off the son's skills.

J cole isnt respected
Isn't as respected by his PEERS and contemporaries as he deserves.

Drake > Jay Z
When comparing both rappers 10 years into their careers. Yes.

At this point you just keep throwing sh it on the wall and hoping something sticks. I promised myself id be more patient and try not to be drawn into arguments especially with people that have clearly shown their mental deficiencies. As usual, trying too hard.

I am not teaching you the subtlety of language that is, that language can be subtle.

I am teaching you that one can be subtle IN using language.

There is a difference.

1. Means the way an English man will say something will be slightly different from the way a French person for example will transliterate the same thing

2. Means a speaker can be subtle or employ euphemisms in expressing his/herself.

Keep arguing with yourself. Mensa ko, Koffi ni.

Get a life or something grin

Don't you think you have just argued my case for me, especially since Beal was getting dapped by his team mates? Did they not succeed in getting D. Green tossed. If you took a closer look at the video like I said you would observe D.Green's right hand come from Beal's mid section, and when it was coming out, his knuckles were balled..take a closer look and you would observe the balled knuckle from the little space between both players. He would definitely touch Beal, however, did it require his right hand to go backwards towards the midsection?

Remember, this mess started after Green blocked Beal's shot and started taunting him with a stare down and some trash words.. According to the NBA rules, that in itself is a technical foul. So Green should have gotten his second tech right after the taunting and the mess would have been avoided, don't you think so? I mean, if I am to knit pick this video.

When does Green take RESPONSIBILITY? Did you listen to his tunnel rant? If D. Green does not manage his temperament, I can assure you he would have a very short career.

It was all Bradley's fault. Watch different angles and this is a case of hustle on rebound. And I don't understand the short career something. Altercations like this will get him shot, thrown out of the NBA?

The history is there but on this play, Green didn't do shit. Should he have allowed Beal to hit his face, and hold his neck and not do anything?? That's left to you as a man if you'll take it or not.
