No, but the current Gov't had asked British to return it.

They killed him. Probably for their primitive freemasonry Rites. These people were in the habit of chopping off the heads of any African leader that resisted them and sending it back to their queen. There was Koitalel Arap Samoei in Kenya whose head was never returned.

I don't think they killed him. Queen Victoria and his caretaker liked him. The Queen had written about her sadnesses in her diary when he died. I'm not trying to see the British were good ppl (I know they are the worst of all worsts).

I didn't know that the British were beheading their opponents back then, but like I said, they are the evil of all evils.

Was Koitalel Arap Samoei a leader of Kenya resistance against the British colonialism?

They took him for a purpose. If they loved him they would not separate him from HIS throne!

Don't be fooled by their tears. Its how we signed over our "protection" to them. Ethiopia wasnt one of those countries. They came preaching, then told us they just wanted to protect us. That's how we became protectorates. Followed fast by colonies!!

(Have you ever gotten attached to an animal that you planned to kill for food) Am not equating the good prince with an animal. Just an example.

Koitalel is a legend. Resisted for 10 years. He was both a diviner and political ruler of the Kalenjin. The British finally pretended they wanted to make peace with him. It was a trap. They killed him and cut off his head and sent it to their land.

Virtually all pictures of his have him looking sad. One can only imagine the tragic life the young prince lived.

That was an interesting read. Thanks for sharing the link.
I wonder why, after these many years, his remains haven't been sent back to Ethiopia.

The Kalenjin territory covered a substantial part of the rift valley province. Its a very fertile area.

We do.

Kinda reminds me of Olaudah Equiano/Gustavus Vassa, though Equiano lived longer.
