I don't think It's about taking care of themselves. Girls keep their body clean much better than boys. I think the issue is the vagina needs a more intense and special constant care that can be difficult to keep up with. If boys actually have vaginas coupled with their poor hygiene habits like wearing one boxers for one week most guys will be sticking to high heavens.
