please, can we stop giving this boy free airtime here? I thought we have wished him good luck with his English dreams already

Abeg, let us move on to players that have us in mind, I am tired of discussing all these useless English boys.

And please, nobody should blame Pinnick for anything. Nobody should also say the English FA would have held down his career. Last I checked, England is not the only country that has a good league, and if he was that great, he would have shone in other leagues even if England tried to stifle his career.

Forget pressure or any other nonsense excuse, this boy had England on his mind and used the Pinnick ish to bring attention to himself. If Nigeria had been his top choice at any point, he would have shunned their pressure like Iwobi did.

Good luck to Tammy, now, can we go back to our back water Norwegian league players?

Mz Safari he was this close to playing for us and I blame Pinnick, he should learn from Senegal and Morocco, it's all on him

And please, can anyone who has a thing for mentioning those funny English talents stop disturbing this thread?

The culprits know themselves, stop trying to promote them here. We should stick to discussing players who have declared for Nigeria, not the ones our NFF President will have to travel to see, only for them to throw sand in his eyes and that of 180 million people

We are bigger than that. Now, all those people who were discussing this boy after that shameful debacle, shey you guys can understand why I said we should drop his matter that time?

Y'all were busy analysing and breaking down English to save face.

I knew it was only a matter of time anyway. Like I predicted immediately after the whole Pinnick holler, England would cap Tammy as soon as their world cup qualification is guaranteed just to keep him from Nigeria. And that's exactly what has happened.

Anyway, good luck to him. Let's see how long his England career lasts.

Some have been saying the EPL is over rated.

Tottenham flogging Real Madrid away and at home is not ewah and dodo.

For England youths to win both the U17 and U20 world cups is a sign of quality. Things have changed we have lots of teenagers playing top flight football.

For goodness sake the second most expensive player in the entire history of football is a teenager.

What do you say about Roma doing Chelsea the current EPL Champions the thing. I didn't want to say this after Roma put Chelsea on the back foot during the first leg and resoundingly beat Chelsea on Tuesday cos I recognise that such things happen in football. But now that you are using Tottenham's victory to sing a hymn of praise about the EPL, kindly let us know about what you think regarding Roma v Chelsea as far the EPL is concerned.

I doubt it. But even if he goes, I am pretty sure that he won't see any actions. And even worse, they would dump him once he has one or two bad outings. If you doubt me, go ask Gabriel Agbanolahor.

blame which Pinnick? Who told you he was close?

He was not close to playing for us and Pinnick was never the issue, HE was. He is just another spineless brat that can't stand on his decision, Pinnick is not to blame.

Nobody should blame Pinnick for the decisions of a bloody adult. Nobody put a gun to his head for squat, he grew cold feet and bailed like a weakling.

No, but Pinnick handled the whole thing like an amateur. You don't start having photo ops and bragging on the world wide web that a player, who incidentally is plying his trade in England, is going to dump England to rep Nigeria until you seal the deal. That was the dumbest move I have ever seen from a public official.

He ought to resign and should resign if Nigeria is a country where things are done the right way.

TAMMY ABRAHAM, JOE GOMEZ AND RUBEN LOFTUS-CHEEK NAMED AS PART OF GARETH SOUTHGATE'S ENGLAND SQUAD TO FACE BRAZIL AND GERMANY AT WEMBLEY
By Matt Lawton For Mailonline
13:08 02 Nov 2017, updated 13:29 02 Nov 2017

Tammy Abraham, Joe Gomez and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have all been named in Gareth Southgate's latest England squad for the upcoming double-header against Brazil and Germany at Wembley.
The full squad is set to be announced at 2pm, but the Football Association's Twitter account released a teaser an hour before congratulating the three youngsters on their promotion from the u21's
Tammy Abraham has impressed on loan at Swansea so far this season, with the Chelsea forward scoring four times in 10 Premier League appearances.
Congratulations to @J_Gomez97 ,
@rubey_lcheek and @tammyabraham on their first #ThreeLions call-ups! We’ll have the full squad soon... pic.twitter.com/E6tuJ1rSUz
— England (@England) November 2, 2017
Joe Gomez has enjoyed regular action for Liverpool in both the league and Champions League and has been rewarded for a string of solid performances with his first full international call-up.
Another Chelsea loanee, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, has been gaining valuable experience under former Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace, and he too is called up for the first time.
Abraham was part of Aidy Boothroyd's Under-21 side that reached the semi-finals of the European Championship in the summer, where they lost on penalties to Germany.
Twenty-year-old Gomez has been captaining the Under 21s in their current qualification campaign for Euro 2019 in Italy and San Marino.
Loftus-Cheek has amassed a total of 17 Under-21 caps in his youth career, but missed last summer's tournament through injury, as did Gomez.
England face Germany on Friday November 10 at the national stadium, before welcoming Brazil to the same venue four days later.

While people are criticising the call of Chidiebere Nwakali, I am glad it happened and raised my respect for Rohr. Most of those criticising Chidiebere's call-up were those criticising Shehu Abdullahi's call-up because of the league he played in.

Those kind of people will have their minds wrapped in a limited bubble in understanding that good players could fall outside the top leagues. Shehu blew that notion away.

Wait for Rohr's assessment of Chidiebere Nwakali before running the struggling young man down. I believe there is a chance of us unearthing a star in Chidiebere Nwakali and I am rooting for him. Rubbing my hands as I await the reports from camp.

This has been what I've been saying for a long time now. People seem to have reduced the SI unit for measuring the ability of a player to the league he played in.
This stand point is very disrespectful to what football should be.
I mean, an Oscar Tabbarez lead Uruguayan team(a country of just 3 million people) nearly won the world cup in 2010 with just one world class player in Forlan.

Big Joe, you gotta be smarter than that. You gotta take everything (and I mean everything) you read here with a big dose of salt.

From everything I know, Kayode isn't making the Super Eagles team purely for football reasons. Having watched him a couple of times, there's no doubt in my mind that Simon, Kelechi, Ighalo, Onyekuru, and VicMo are better. Forget what he did in Austria, let him replicate that form in La Liga. Like we say in football, the name of the game is, "What have you done for me lately".

O pari

My man my point is cleared,I want to debunk an insinuations that non invitation of Kayode was based on tribalism, nobody is arguing may be he is better than Ighalo, Iheanacho, Vic Moses.

Nobody w force any player on Rohr when the coast is cleared the best w be selected and may be he is better than Simeon Moses or Oyekwuru is non of my business,it's left for Rohr to decide if he get another opportunity.

Uzoho had two matches in LA liga got a call up meaning Rohr is watching,,its left for Kayode to prove himself in LA liga to get another call.

It's just too glaring some need to work hard and some already have the pedigree,so Kayode belonged to set of players that need to work hard to be in the team.

If Nwakaeme can make it playing in Isreali league or sometimes Aaron Samuel who hasn't done much this season so why not him.

Mind you his exploit in Austria league was not a joke,it gave him a contract with man city before he got his loan to Girona.

I watched him against Deportivo and am highly impressed,he deserves a place in the squad with what i saw and Uzoho against Girona despite conceding two goals, the guy looked mature in the game and thank God he was rewarded with invitation.

FL, I am not holding brief for Tammy. No, not at all He has made his choice, let him live with it. Like I said, he would soon find out the politics involved with playing for the 3 Lions at the senior level. But having said that, I think Pinnick left him in a very difficult position with that premature announcement. And by the way, that boy has lots of potential to be a top top player!

Stop that! What's my rant. All my post that day was meant to show you that switching nationality is not an easy decision. All I said that day was that you should understand his position because to me it seemed you weren't appreciating the situation.

The guy is quality. If we did not get him, it's that we didn't get him despite our attempts. We move on. Finish. There's nothing to gloat about. Absolutely nothing. It's not about me, nor you, or who wins arguments or who is proven right or wrong at least not in this instance. It's all about the team. Something precious has slipped outta hands.

Omo, anytime you watch Tammy, just ask yourself how good our team would've been if we have Tammy and Kelechi leading our attack!

The boy is extremely skillful for an English player. He can create and most importantly he can sniff out chances and get himself in position to finish. His football IQ is very high, IMHO.
