Dele Alli left league 1, MK Dons straight to the premiership at only 19 and with top speed to the England senior team. Gomez at Liverpool left Charlton Athletic (league 1) straight to Liverpool first team at age 18, Ademola Lookman left Charlton Athletic straight to Everton first team. Calvert Lewin left Sheffield United straight too Everton first team. Why because they were outstanding players in those leagues. I could go on and on.

Fred Onyedinma at the tender age of 17 was awarded MOTM in the championship with Millwall. At this stage Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Man U, were all trying to sign him. His agents and Millwall messed up the transfer. Otherwise he would be in the EPL and his development would have taken a different trajectory. He currently is in the Championship with Millwall rejecting moves to other EPL clubs in favour of staying. See below links to substantiate my claims as not just my opinion.

I never ever reduced the standard but when a player proves his pedigree. As we say when small pikin wash hand, he go follow king chop.

When Tega had his first few weeks in the championship if we had invited him to the SE. Would we be having all this talk about him insulting Nigeria. We jumped on the bandwagon after he had blown up.

It's obvious you haven't watched Fred Onyedinma play. Watch his game in the FA cup against Tottenham and you go change mind.

I will talk of a Ghanaian origin player Tariq Ofosu, watched him as a teenager when Hope Akpan was at Reading Fc in the EPL then. I immediately pencilled him as outstanding quality. Unfortunately he was sidelined and other players pushed ahead it's football politics. He is now in Charlton watch what happens in the next few months.

You can be in a lower league and stand out or just get lost. It's actually very difficult to play technically proficient football in a predominantly blood and guts, kick and rush league. But when you do you know it's a quality player you are seeing. It's easy to look good when you have top quality players around you.

Finally, Fred Onyedinma was born in Nigeria and played in the same local team as Iwobi. If he had chosen Arsenal maybe his development would have been different.

Success is determined by alot of factors. Opportunity, luck or devine breakthrough like se will say.

You have eloquently narrated how Fred Onyema would have signed for Arsenal but somehow fate have him stuck in Millwall. This is exactly what some guys here have been trying to explain to you why Awoniyi found himself hawked around Belgium and Holland instead of developing at Liverpool. This is exactly the same reason why Nwakali is at Venlo instead of Arsenal.

I personally feel Obinna Nwobodo would have been one of the most highly rated youngsters if he was born in Europe.

Am so pissed about this Tammy saga, so much talk and abuses from so many people
Please all you should let Tammy be!
If he chose to play for England, so be it!
If he turns back to choose Nigeria, so be it!
But enough of all the insults on the young man
He has the full right to make his choice of country to play for angry
people insulting him also have the full right to insult him. Is it yoir insult ni?

I have told you people, you cannot tell someone how to react when he feels slighted and you cannot tell someone how ti feel

All man for himself. If you no wan insult am, no wahala, but don't tell people not to insult him because that is therapy to many.

When Arsenal fans are insulting Wrnget and the whole team una no dey tell them to stop.

Their data, their insult. Leave them abeg, once they are tired (and they will be soon) they move on to someone else.

You re trying so hard to explain why nff should invite onyedimma but fall deaf ears to that Nwakali.
You re referencing his 17 ish heroics as we did about Nwakali's 17.
He's not a sure starter at millwall at the moment.

Nwakali's invitation may lack objectivity but onyedimma has done nothing exceptional other than wearing #10

Tammy Abraham Reveals How He Found Out He Was Named In England SquadTammy Abraham has revealed how he found out he was named in the latest England squad and has suggested that Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate did not inform him of a potential call-up before it was announced on Thursday afternoon.

The 20-year-old, who remains on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation until he's cap-tied, became the second player in the history of Swansea City to earn a call-up to England seniors, following in the footsteps of Jonjo Shelvey.

''I am very pleased. I have been working for this and I am grateful to be given the chance to prove myself. It is a good confidence boost for me and shows I have been doing the right thing,'' said Abraham to Swansea City's official website on Thursday evening.

''I found out this afternoon that I was in the squad. It was a nice surprise.''

The Chelsea loanee added : ''I was in the physio room and it came up on the TV that I had been included.

''All the boys congratulated me. It was a good feeling and I am excited to link up with the team.

''Getting an England call is a nice achievement. Now I have to make sure I grab it with both hands.''

Since arriving in South Wales in the summer of 2017, Abraham has registered his name on the score-sheet five times from 13 appearances.

If i can understand you very well you believe one section in this country were being treated unjustly when it comes to invitation to the national team.I just guess,so am not tagging you a tribal guy because you are expressing your view.

I don't think there is anything like that and if you want to look it at critically, truly invitations to national team should be based on merits but sometimes we see a player in the team that warrant question,my man it happens and only coach can explain.

Good you mentioned Gbenga Okunowo case when he was doing well at Barcelona meaning you want us to go to memory lane to discuss this issue.I can tell you a lot of players that find themselves in such situations in national team, some find their way forcefully some couldn't get invitations.

1.I believe you remember Richard Owubokiri, this was a player that paint Europe with goals, highest goalscorer in the whole in the whole Europe but find it difficult to get invitation. He was forced on Westerhoff against South Africa and in that match he had a goal. This great player was substituted and never get a call up again.

2.Mike Obiku was a very good player doing it well with Feyenord in dutch league scoring goals but couldn't make it to the national team, his exploit in dutch league can only be rival by Finidi George but this guy was not given chance, may be few caps.

3.Chris Ohenhen was one of the greatest Nigeria striker in LA liga history scoring goals for compostella every season but find it difficult to get invitation made just few appearances for Eagles, the rest is history.

4.Godwin Opara was a very good CB playing in French league for Strasbourg later PSG but did you know Godwin forced his way into the team prior to France 98 after being denied the opportunity for so long with Nigeria preferred using average CB like Uche Okafor,Isaac Semitoje.

5.Karibe Ojigwe was a perfect DM/CM having a good time then with Karlsruhe later Bayern Leverkusen but did you know what, this guy was denied invitation despite doing well but a very average player like Garba Lawal was getting invitation with coaches telling us he was playing to instructions.

6.James Obiorah was a mercurial player, marvellous to watch, very skillful and highly rated youngster who was denied invitation when it matter most. This guy saved Nigeria qualifications to Atlanta 96 with stunning free kick just two minutes to the end of that particular match i can't really recollect the match.

Did you know Obiorah was forced to be invited for that match but after the match no invitation again until a Jamaica match prior to France 98,he put on a superlative performance but was dropped. It was this frustration that forced him to make a confession prior to 2002 W/C that national team coaches are collecting bribes, he came into the team and displaced Wilson Oruma.

7.Benjamin Nzeakor a very good winger in his days but couldn't get the call when necessary one of the very few Nigerians to play in Brazilian league.

8.Uwem Ekarika good winger in his days but couldn't smell national team like others who are not better than him, very few caps.

9.James Etokebe a good winger who was doing well but not giving much chance in eagles to impress.

10.Kalu Uche the senior bro of Ike Uche find it so hard to break into Eagles, though he later did but that was at the later end of his career.A lot don't know that Kalu was the best player at COJA but was denied invitation despite doing well every season in Europe until he find his way and appeared at 2010W/C scoring two goals.

11.Ajibade Babalade had a great appearance at Senegal 92 paring Keshi at the CB better than Uche Okafor but after Afcon he find it difficult to get into the team .

12.Chidi Nwanu was doing well in Europe and was the best Nigeria CB playing for Anderlecht but Westerhoff denied him invitation preferring even player like Isaac Semitoje,he gatecrashed into US 94 when it was obvious that his presence was needed in the team.

Honestly we have a lot of them and is not based on where you come from,it happens and only coach can gives reasons because sometimes is a puzzle for fans seeing certain player doing well and not getting invitation.

Good list but our team was so loaded in some cases that it was difficult for some of these players.

Chris Ohenhen for instance was scoring a lot of goals for compostela in La liga but we had already a pretty full squad.

Godwin Opara could not really replicate the Strabourg form for Nigeria.

Ojigwe, one of the most unlucky, i believe he deserved a slot but on the bench.

I would disagree with you completely.

The old age of Methusela did not contend with the wisdom of Solomon. Knowledge does not rest with one individual.

That's your view, shocked, it's very sad that kind of inferior low self esteem colonial mentality, Oyibo knows best. Wow !!! truly astonished didn't think that kind if mentality still existed.

I really can not say much more, just dissapointed, I really expected a lot more depth and a substantive response from a senior like you.

I concede defeat.

Rohr knows more about Youth development than you because of the time he spent developing young players, coaches and trainers in the system. Not because the color of his skin. Nothing like Oyibo mentality.

I will not say Kashimawo Laloko knows more about youth development in Europe more than you because he does not work in that scene. However, because of Kashimawo's in depth time developing young players, you know nothing compared to him when it comes to youth development in Africa.

Not skin color.

Rohr knows more. Do not feel disappointed, it is a fact.

Well, the anchor point of my epistle is for the Nff to really dig deep and fashion out a way to harness and develop talents back home.
The little effort we have put out in the past like Principal cup, Greater tommorow and others have helped in no small measure to establish us as a force in African football.

Nff needs to establish atleast 5 world class soccer academies across the country. Something modelled after the Clairfontain football academy in France. If we can pull this off and also have a highly successful league which absorbs these players like they do have in Brazil then we will be cooking with gas!

I read pages he back where you constantly disbelieved every quote about Tammy declaring for Ingurland. Well, you have to embrace reality. Tammy ain't coming grin
How far have you gone about your article on how to raise revenue for football development inNigeria?

When did the National team became an academy for discovering talent?

Chidiebere Nwakali is an epitomy of every tom dick and Harry.

We don't need promising talent in an obscure leagues in the national team.

What promise did he show in lowly Norwegian league that is deserving to get a call?

We have better players than Chidiebere Nwakali in that role in better league. Don't tell me you're blind to the truth.

forgiveness stop lying gbenga okunowo was invited during his time at barca https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samuel_Okunowo

i know you will try to worm your way out by saying he was with benfica but the fact of the matter is that he was on their books whether he was sent on loan or not. i have highlighted what you wrote. gbenga had 8 caps for nigeria he played twice in 1997 and once in 1998 which falls under his time at barcelona
https://www.national-football-teams.com/player/14509/Samuel_Okunowo.html

forgiveness:

From what I deduced from this is that few individuals have personal interest in the super eagles and at the same time there is personal vendetta against some set of players by these few individuals which as result, is at the detriment of National interest.

Can you please explain what played out against these set of players that didn't get invitation to the national team as at that moments they played for bigger clubs or in a better league?

Why was Gbenga Okunowo never invited to the national team during his time at Barcelona despite been part of the team that won the league that year?

Why was Lukeman Haruna ignored for two sessons during his time at Monaco? We know he was called for a friendly which he only played for 12 minutes. The world cup he went to was due to the injury mikel substained else he for no smell am(arrange thing). Why was he still ignored after the world cup despite helping Monaco to get to the final of Coupe de france? Why was he ignored despite playing regular with a top club like Dynamo Kyve that was regular in champions league and Europa league for 3 good seasons?

Why was Some aluko never invited when he was obviously the best player for Rangers in the Scottish League? With all his exploit he has not been capped for more than 5 times.

Time will not permit me to to mention all the players they allowed to fizzle out for players like Chidiebere Nwakali.

Please kindly explain. Thanks

this is irrelevant to the entire point.

Whether he found out via the news on TV or a WhatsApp broadcast message, he is still going to play for England
whether the fish swallow Jonah or Jonah swallow the fish, we don't want to know, all we know it's that 'there was a swallow'

My point is to let guys knows that there is no victimisation against any tribes when it comes to national team invitation.

On Chris Ohenhen, I want to tell you that Ohenhen deserve a place in US 94 squad better than Victor Ikpeba and Efan Ekoku at that time but was not even giving a look in the team.

Godwin Opara deserve invitation prior to US 94 but was not even considered, apart from Chidi Nwanu doing well in Europe,Godwin was next and i believe he should have taken the place of Uche Okafor in the team.Did you know after US 94 this guy was still denied until he voiced out.I disagreed that he did not replicate his club form in the national team cos he was not even giving the chance. When he got the chance he made France 98 team.

Karibe Ojigwe suppose to be in the team post US 94 but what we are hearing was Garba Lawal was playing to instructions but glaring Ojigwe was better cos he was doing it week in week out in bundesliga.
