Kano state govt is in talks with the world's biggest tractor company Mahindra Tractor group India for a scheme to distribute 200 tractors to farmers on a loan basis repayable in 3-4 yrs guaranteed by the state to improve agric mechanization in Kano

Now this is one of those extremely rare ocassions when nigerian politicians do a sensible thing. I just hope one commisioner wont sell the whole thing off or the money will be siphoned off somewhere and farmers wait till eternity or some other dumb thing like that.
