i had to comment on this, its a shame that a story that is well known for milleniums is even being misread now and also to support a fraud. JESUS DID NOT COLLECT ANY MONEY FROM THE WOMAN. You can't understand the Church more than people that attends. its a pity that christians dont read the scriptures and even if their men of God says things or do things espressly condenmed by the scriptures such as mastubation is not a sin, slapping someone during deliverance and also instigating people to violence they look for all sorts of excuse and then start talking about things of the spirit which is very subjective. The real issue here is not so much about the tithes but about the deceit....pastors deceiving the gullible. The deceit... why stress sooo much on collecting tithes (deceit2...for God) ... but never ever preaching on how it should be used?...nor using it as it should? With subtle invocations of curses to non-adherents and repeated stressing and reinforcement of twisted messages tying material progress to what is "sown", accusations of "robbery" (with the famous Malachi quote), and even threatened public humiliation (registering, documenting and numbering tithers for easier tracking and telling tithers to stand in church for blessings and all that so non-tithers feel left out) and public ostracism (refusal to sanction prayers and consultations, weddings, funerals etc for non-tithers), there is a long list of clever machinations designed to compel the flock to give. You're fooling yourself pretending this does not happen. I was a faithful adherent of a Pentecostal church before my crisis of faith and I know and have witnessed every trick in the book designed to compel people to give.
