The conferment of citizenship status on the Imo State Chief of Staff by the people of Umuoyima Autonomy Community in Owerri Municipal is a symbolic event that will come to redefine the way we view and play politics for a very long time to come. Nwosu, an Eziama Obaire Nkwere born Chief is a proud Nkwere blood, who has gone beyond his native community to make impacts across various communities in the State and beyond.

One thing the Rescue Mission political family has done for Imo people is to ensure that to a great extent, our orientations of politics and governance changed for the better. For people who may see this as a strange happening, it isn't. Igbo nay African culture recognizes unity in diversity and this is why you see traditional rulers from other parts of the country conferring chieftaincy titles on people from outside their communities. To be confered with a chieftaincy title by another community, you do not only become an indigene of that community, but also a stakeholder and decision influencer in such community as you would have automatically become a member of the King's cabinet.

The respected real estate mogul turned politician received this certificate from the people of Owerri Nchi Ise, not because he is disqualified from running for an election because he hails from Orlu zone part of the State but because he accepts the message that everyone is one and there should not be anything dichotomy between Owerri, Okigwe or Orlu. We are one Imo and every Imo son or daughter is qualified to vie for the governorship seat or any other position in the State.

Every true leader must belong to every community. He or she must not see himself as a son of one community and a stranger in another community. There are indications that a number of traditional rulers from Okigwe zone area of the State have written to the Chief of Staff on their willingness to confer him with necessary rights and obligations of all natural born in their own communities.

If Rocha Okorocha hadn't opted to go for Imo state governorship, Nigerians would still be thinking he is sane and has what it takes to lead Nigeria.

True, the Rescue Mission Family developed Owerri more than any Owerri governor could have done.


Okigwe, same, the rescue family started the Engineering Campus of IMSU.


But Orlu. Rescue mission has Banana roundabout and four expanded toads total 5km as its development in Orlu which gave rescue mission the highest number of votes in 2011.

Rescue Family even closed IMSUTH Orlu, reduced it to school of nursing, dismantled Orlu Sports Stadium with flood lights out of envy.
