I loved Iheanacho's deliveries against Algeria.. I feel Simon Moses or Etebo are better than Victor Moses in set pieces. Simon Moses is the set piece taker at his club.

Also, the coaches have to develop set piece routines. In the 2002 WC, i remember Argentina employed a particular FK routine against us and eventually scored with it.

I don't have any problem with any of them but I can't off the top of my head pick out a bad delivery that Victor had.

I think Rohr should challenge Ekong to recreate his club form for us. The guy is a goal threat for club but nothing for country. The team in general must all look for goals if we want to go places.

I read the stories and also posted the ratings yesterday. I reiterate, for a debutant, he had a decent game. Don't also forget it was a high level friendly and the boy acquitted himself pretty well. Shows he can play at a really high level

Humility017:

leave him and let him be giving himself hope there.....
same match I follwed even though I never watched the full 90 minutes I read daily mail and mirror uk assess the match...
and someone is telling me....a player who only was going behind defenders and could utilize any of the crosses from sterling and co... was well positioned and had a good game.....

Confirmed – Rohr Axe Ezenwa, Uzoho Could Debut Against Argentina, Mikel Returns

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has revealed the changes he will make in his squad from the one that drew 1-1 with Algeria when they face Argentina on Tuesday in Russia.
The coach confirmed the return of captain John Obi Mikel and also explained why he left the Tianjin Teda midfielder out of the squad for the last game against Algeria.
“Mikel of course will come back. He didn’t play against Algeria because it was not a good moment for him coming from China. Playing two games in four days is a risk for him and we both agreed that was best for him to sit out”, Rohr said
He went a step further by also hinting at a possible debut for newly invited Deportivo La Coruna Francis Odinaka Uzoho in place of goalkeepers Ikechukwu Ezenwa.
“Against Argentina we will make some changes with two or three players. It will be interesting to see another goalkeeper. We have to work hard to be better.”

DO YOU THINK WE NEED NWAKEME IN THAT TEAM? .... Not the kind of striker super eagles needed , jam body football , was it a stage fright? his perfomance was a typical jam body football .(oldskool style)
Nwakaeme good for Eagles?with what i saw against Algeria,we don't need him.

We need a striker that w gives Ighalo and Iheanacho stiff competition not mediocre, hope to see Kayode against Argentina.

Also waiting for Rohr to extend invitation to Peter Onuachu and let see what he got to offer.

I don't know why we keep on deceiving ourselves, better to have Osimhen or Awoniyi in the team than Nwakaeme.

its been long we play with one man down ... if OGU BECOMES A STARTER , WE WILL ALWAYS EXPERIENCE THAT .... Especially against a skilful midfield . deny him of the ball and lose your leg ... i am not saying he cant get better but he needs to improve in that aspect of his games ... it was his goal that earned him that MOTM . his performance was average .
For a fact agbo and agu are more card prone midfielders than Ogu, I'm not saying he's the best but give the man credit when due, his interception, tackles were vital to us in that match.

Daejoyoung:

If joel obi plays, Onazi can still play just ahead of the defenders in a defensive midfield role, but then we have Ndidi as well, so the best option would be to reserve joel obi on the bench as a replacement for Mickel in that attacking midfield role.
J Obi is a b2b midfielder. He HAS to replace one of Onazi or Ndidi while Mikel plays as an AM.

I doubt he will bench the regular starters but he did well. The goal added an extra bit of garnish.
Only if he had more speed and were in a better league, our problem in midfield is creativity, he has that. But if he were better in training he would have gotten the nod, our coach knows best!

Osimhen and Awoniyi CAN WAIT TILL 2022,

Onazi is better choice than Ndidi because he is a better passer than Ndidi and with more better factors.

with this qualities about onazi doesnt he deserve to play in a better club than turkish league.

Oga dont be deceived that runing around all night is football. onazi do not have an inch talent or work rate ndidi have, am not talking of club but also for country.

get ur facts right

some one that still has age on his side....

just imagine with your eyes closed...ezenwa in goal against teams like Germany, belguim or even Brazil....?

Oh Ikechuckwu and Martins?no go area for me but if Rohr want them no issue.

Mind you I never rate Nwakaeme,i was even asking why he should be invited ahead of Kayode.

Truly Nwakaeme was highly rated on this thread but his rating has dropped significantly after Algeria match.

Meanwhile who is Yinka Dennis again? Why should we waste time testing more players when we already have people who are ready, willing and capable of doing the job for us

Ogu was poor , in that Zambia match ,...and i have watched his games so many times , had a lot of bad tackles in the past which had earned him a yellow card during the days of Keshi .....his good side his the ability to take a long range shot and intercept passes . aside this , his timings are always wrong ... maybe he can improve . i will pick any of our regulars ahead of him ...
Ogu did not play in our match against Zambia.

I knw it is difficult for most of us to spot some players cos everyone is black and we dont check d jersey number well, like some people in view center find it difficult to differentiate btw ogu n etebor cos both wore same red boot n almost found in same area.

if we dey criticise lets do it moderately and not with hate, pls.

Agbo and Agu were in in my picks either ...you need to go and what that match very well ... my comment about Ogu wasn't based on that match alone ... cos it was inconsequential ... Ogu is a rough tackler ... 5 past matches for eagles 3 yellow cards 2 GOALS
