I really pity this guy, he's one of the unemployed graduate in the country, an introvert to the fault but I do not know how to help him because I have my own problems.

this guy had financial problem after his volkswagen Sharon was abandoned by the commercial driver he handed it too, that vehicle was the bread winner of his entire family as well as source of survival to his parent who he was supporting in the village, the trouble started when the driver abandoned the vehicle at the park without remitting any money, he needed to pay his house rent and the landlord wasn't read for story asked him to move out , so he contacted his friend staying in a 4bedroom flat who was using the house for dry cleaning business , he moved the vehicle to the compound and started repairing it little by little while squatting around, sold some of his stuffs to repair the vehicle, and at the point he was making arrangement to get a new driver.
one afternoon, a law firm brought a letter to the house inviting his friend and he informed him but his friend ignored it, he didn't go to court, I think that was the 4th letter or so.
and in a commando style the law firm went to the house with a policeman to evict his friend from the house and seized his Laundry machines, a large Samsung TV, Fridge , pressing Iron etc for owning 550,000 Naira , and also the squatter Volks Wagen Sharon.

he told them the vehicle belong to him and he was new in the house but they insisted as long as the vehicle was found in the compound , they will impound it to recover the debt, one of them asked him to come to court and present the receipt , vehicle document etc which he did but they asked him to go and get a lawyer, and since then he has be spending money, trekking all over the town like a mad person, talking to himself, another friend of mine said he saw him trekking a very long distance and gave him lift, he said he called his friend the debtor, and the guy was not ready to assist him, saying he has not eaten for two days.

House, please is there any way this guy can get any assistance , I have tried my best, I referred him to Human Right Commission in Jos and they said they can not do anything because the matter is already in court, he also went to Legal Aid office but no tangible assistance , his vehicle presently valued at 1.3million has been seized since June 3rd 2016 ' 16 months ago, he's has not set his eyes on the vehicle since then, could it be that they have sold it? he has only stayed in the house for less than 3months, what should he do? the court keep saying the judge is on leave , the law firm not coming to court , and now he said the court said they will mention the case again in January, said that was what they told him last month.
can a good Samaritan reading this help this guy , please..

He needs to confirm if the Vehicle was indeed sized by the court or was done in self help by the landlord and his lawyer, he can do that with a search at the court registry (he can do that by himself). If the car was seized at the order of the court he can apply that the car be released to him with proof of ownership, if sold already to defray the debt ( my fear is that it has taken too long to make an appearance in court), he can file for restitution against his friend.Head or tail, he will need a lawyer to represent him and convince the court that the vehicle belong to him and not the tenant. He should appeal to the local Nigeria Bar Association to see if he could get a lawyer to handle his case on a pro-bono basis.

what I said is 100% true Sir, he got a lawyer that same day the vehicle was seized, and after spending about N20,000, he couldn't continue with the service of the lawyer, he didn't waste time but the court keep using delay tactics, in fact, an elderly man who is a lawyer also tried to assist him, but they have been giving excuses, like the judge is on annual leave, the judge is going on retirement, the new judge is yet to seat, the new judge is newly appointed , the party involve not showing up in court and the matter postponed for another 3months, stuffs like that, he has presented the document of the vehicle to the court as proof but no result.

Thank You Sir, we will try to find out if they did it in selfhelp as you advised , he has been trying to locate the landlord going from one Anglican church to the other because the landlord is a Reverend in one of the Anglican Church in Jos, he got his number and called him but the Rev said he shouldn't involve him in the matter and refer him back to the law firm, but the law firm insisted on impounding his vehicle, I think the law firm have strong connection in Jos , you know the Nigeria factors, the corruption we are talking about, we dont really know to do anymore.
