the competency tests should be given to Buhari, if he passes then sack the teachers, if he doesn't the teachers should be redeployed. We all know the northerns are not educated, that is what makes it annoying when the want to rule and lead the educated.

With all his ethnic bigotry, I still like this guy, El Rufai and I believe he can take Nigeria to the needed height. You can hate him but his reforms are simply awesome.
To what height?
The height of ethno-religious bigotry with lie lie steps or what?
Why is it so easy for southerners to be deceived by the Fulani owners of naijeriya with their born-to-rule mentality?
Why are we so gullible with low aspirational levels?

I like what elrufai is doing, replacing those teachers. This should be done in OYO and OSUN states. From nursery to secondary public schools. They have exceptional science teachers but the english teachers are bad. Some of d other subject teachers cant even speak proper english. Atrocious! Breeding unemployable students. angry

Are you so dumb that you can't even read clearly. How did Fayose finish the guy? If you care to know, it is the other way round. El-Rufai gave him a simple & clear response.

Finished him with what? That Fayose playing politics with the so-called future leaders to you is finishing. Must you and Fayose play politics with critical issue.
Same you will join to complain that Nigeria produced half baked. Same you will join to reject reform in education. Same you will also complaining that govt is not doing anything to reform the education. Every graduate is a product of his teacher. A teacher that cannot teach himself, how would he teach others?
You guys need to stop playing politics with critical issue. How would a teacher be given what he teaches and he cannot answer it.
Re: Between Governor Fayose And Governor Nasir El-rufai On Twitter by calyto: 11:03am On Nov 15, 2017
So what happens to the pupils while their unqualified teachers are being trained? Will the pupils train themselves or should the governor allow same teachers to teach them while they(teachers) undergo training(from the scratch)?
So why then do we complain that unqualified people fill the available positions while the qualified are unemployed?

Please use your head and stop being dumber than the dumbest

GeeOh:
NIGERIAN GOVT DOES NOT VALUE EDUCATION,WHAT IS WRONG WITH TRAIN AND RETRAINING THE TEACHERS,SUCIDE RATE IS ON INCREASE EVEN WHEN THERE IS HOPE OF GETIN PAID BUT GETIN IT LATE.

Fayose is lapping up the opportunity they are giving him. Yes, why employ them in the first place to sack them later? Was Kaduna gov't sleeping before?
It's good to want to replace them but it's bad to have employed unqualified teachers in the first place.
Ask the PDP government that employ them

Even in Ekiti, they taught in yoruba too. I have witnessed it several times, in college of education

The Northern Nigeria needs a complete overhaul in the educational sector. Imagine a class teacher teaching in Hausa language. I support El-rufai 100%. He should go ahead and replace the teachers that failed that primary 4 test.

Southern Nigeria also needs to throw a surprise check on the teachers too like Oshiomole did some years back. We can't continue kicking the dull students to the faculty of education and expect to get the best of teachers. We need to up their salaries, working conditions and retirement packages to encourage the best hands in the educational sector.

Tell that to the Military and the PDP governments who have run Kaduna State since 1993!

You are right. Kaduna state has been sleeping. Was it not the state that Sambo "Ghost worker" vice president was Governor before drunkard Jonathan made him vice president...

How did Governor El Rufai get to know about Fayose's, that he's honoured with an undeserving reply from a reputable and focused Governor, hope he (El Rufai) isn't following the useless man on twitter?
El- rufai reputable and focused?! What a huge joke of the century.

FFK and Fayose are brothers. Their names both started from F. But I don't don't know it's f9 or 10 but they both enjoy failing and falling hands.

How many teachers in ekiti can pass the same exam given in kaduna. Come to ekiti and see for your self. They are no better than what is obtained in kaduna. Many of you will blame govt and ,students and pupils.forgetting teachers are the key ingredient to any successful Educational development.
during the the past when the Missionary's came we had little funding, the educational facilities were poor but they produce great students. Now even with the basic which if compared with that of the CMS era is actually five star we are producing far worse.
And Ekiti state came 1st in 2016 and 2017 in SSCE. You must be far away in china to make the above conclusion.

Think before you make comments.
Is this what you always do? Come online to spew rubbish without thinking?
Civilised people think while the uncivilised ones are always being called out.
You crossed the red line here. If it is your style, be rest assured that many more people will use offensive words on you in the nearest future

Instead of relieving those teachers of their jobs which would lead to redundancy, highway robbery and killings I rather you fix them in to places where there services can still be needed. For the safety of the populace

Fact is the so called bad teachers did not employ themselves. This same lack of qualification is everywhere from NNPC to police.
They have families to feed.
Can they not be retrained. If not as teachers in all cases is there no other role for them in schools e.g as teaching assistants.
Yes some may be dead wood but some can be rehabilitated surely.
it is unfair to stigmatize them as if they are criminals
The other thing is I do not agree all education must be in English. is there anything in that?

The fact that these people do not know English does not mean they cannot teach some subjects in Hausa.
Are there textbooks written in Hausa except for Hausa Language?

Don't mind them.
I don't agree with fayose on this one. That man can be daft sometimes .
Infact every state of the Nigerian federation should do the same and cleanse our educational system of bunch of incompetent teachers.

Maybe not but why not?
We don't have to accept the world the way it is.
It would be educative to research what has happened with the Welsh language in the UK or Maori in New Zealand quite recently.

People are not stupid because they don't know English. We must never accept that idea.

I have never come across an aboki that does not know how much his change is in the market
Maybe if the algebra questions were framed in terms of cattle it might help grin
