Don't mistake Tammy and Solanke for wrong cargo because they are good.
Yeah right! but not good enough for England's first Eleven lol..
Agree?

Because England has better strikers than Nigeria.

If they come to play for Nigeria, Iheanacho will not be guaranteed to make the bench. grin

If we can get the host Russia in pot 1, no matter who we get from pot 2, we will qualify. Portugal and Poland from that pot 1 are also beatable because of their over reliance on one man, Ronaldo or Lewandowski...Argentina too as we all knw recently....The other teams I didn't mention in pot 1, I tink it will take the grace of God to even get a draw from them. Go super eagles!!!
Portugal and Poland is not a one man team pls ,it is like saying Brazil is a one man team because of neymar

Of course! I'm not saying we have better strikers. Is he relevant in the English team, let alone their starting eleven? Thats my point... and you must answer my question o.
Both Tammy and Solanke made the wrong moves, believe it or not. They just jeopardized their international future. They should have chosen a team where they're actually needed and they'll be welcomed with both hands to stake a claim for shirts in the SE.

Ok. Meaning to be the champion you have to beat the best. Then bring it on.

Ezenwa will be at the WC. He kept well in the crucial games. The only person in danger of dropping out is Akpeyi.

Yeah another excellent piece

On the Enyeama return issue, prio to the Algeria and Argentina game I was of the opinion that one of Ezenwa and Akpeyi would do.

However, I am having a rethink.

The thought of recalling Enyeama became so loud in my mind when Akpeyi picked up that ball outside the 18 yards box.

What I personally feel Rohr can do is invite Enyeama for the march friendly(ies). We also assess him. If he is still good to go, fine he is back for the world cup. Else we take a risk with one of Ezenwa and Uzoho.

Best case scenario for the SE would be a group comprising Russia, Peru, Costa Rica, Nigeria. I’ll give our team an 85% chance of advancing from such a group.

On the other hand, the “group of death” would comprise Germany, Spain, Iran, Nigeria. I would put the SE’s chances of advancing at 3%.
Two South American teams cannot be in the same group except Europeans.

he has conceded 2 goals right?? And both from the spot.. Personally i think that guy is a time bomb if the algeria game was against a team like portugal they would have spelt abuja from set pieces alone. My problem is not him going to the world cup i just hope he doesnt for any reason step on the pitch...

those Scandinavian teams na no go area o, even iceland sef, don't forget what they did at the last euro, me think Nigeria will even fare better against the bigger teams apart from Germany, we are often psyched up optimally against bigger sides.
you don get am.. Most times am calm when we play bigger teams but lower/average teams na our wahala last world cup for example struggled against iran average against bosnia superb against argentina lost of focus and maybe wrong substitution as some will say caused us france.. That's why for our friendlies i want either germany/brazil then 2 or 3 of denmark, sweden, peru, iceland, colombia etc

Now i feel sorry for Akpeyi after reading his post. Unfortunately, football is about performance.. He acknowledges his previous errors and says he understands why people think, he is bad.

Akpeyi's Post

So touching. He needs our support if not as a goalkeeper then at least as a human being. It's a dark time for him.

Well, I am not yet convinced he is better than Echiejile.

It also seems he can't play LWB in a 3-5-2 formation. Maybe he is more comfortable at the RWB because I saw him played there in his club.

compare aina claimed abysmal outing in the colours of SE and elderson play against Cameroon and Zambia and spot the difference....

I hitherto missed the match against Argentina but had to watch it use my mb yesterday watch the full match on YouTube...from all I see....aina did well not bad at all...I doubt if elderson would have done any better....
he did well Mark his man...but had problem wit covering his space....tracking back fo help the defense....

This man needs to work on his confidence. He needs a sport psychologist. It is obvious that previous errors are also playing in his mind.

That explains why he is always jittery. It is not about ability. He needs more composure.
You are spot on. Perhaps once his confidence is restored he'd come good. That was Rohr's intention for him- to use the game to shore up his confidence. Unfortunately he bungled it up again. This is more like a chain of bad luck. It has to be broken. And it's all in his mind.

Rohr did the same thing for Awaziem. He passed. He'd be piping now. Maybe if Agu were around too, he would have been given the same opportunity.

Adidas is a different company from nike. Nike has not released designs for its contingent to the WC. Perhaps they may dorm it in the March friendlies or May of next year.

Awoniyi was atrocious in the run-up to the Olympics. The South Korean tourney exposed how poor siasia's team was at the time. Changes were forced.

None of those teams is easy... Let us just prepare well... We will fight with whoever we are given.
We should just prepare for the best. Let's prepare like we are going to be in the same group as Germany, Brazil and Spain.

Aina offered nothing offensively in that LWB role. He was lost.

I still want to see him on the RB because I saw him did well in that role for his club but the LB , I have my reservations.
