Biko just pay up and free your mind. I don’t understand how people can sleep “peacefully” while living in fear.

Besides, they’ll eventually catch up with you. Why risk prosecution + £1000 penalty fine + legal costs and/or any compensation you may be ordered to pay, just because of £147??

These vending machines can dispense sandwiches, hot coffee, tea etc and can also microwave dispensed snacks. Usually we're stuck with this on weekends when the restaurants in the premises are closed.

I really embarrassed myself the first time I tried to use it... Don't blame me, I'm not posh at all!

Lol! Go easy on the vending machine bro cheesy

I assume saving up is something you’re keen to do. Here’s a tip: it’s a lot cheaper to buy in bulk from the supermarket (not off licence shops oh!).

Take your standard box of Walkers Crips (mixed variety) for example: A box of 40 at Iceland costs £4.00 - that’s 10p per pack. Your average vending machine sells the exact same pack for 60p.

That’s 50p more expensive. Might sound little but it all adds up over time...

My goal is to save minimum of £2000 monthly and nothing on earth can stop that!

£2000 monthly?

Then you have to cut down and spend on only the essentials. For example:

~ Make your packed lunch and snacks from home and take to work

~ Ditch the train and stick to travelling by buses. Get a monthly Oyster bus pass

~ Buy supermarket brands only when you go shopping. And remember to pick up supermarket magazines. They’ll usually have coupons which when used with special offers, will give you massive discounts.

Here’s a plethora of information on how to cut costs and build up savings:

There is sooo much you can learn from there. Pick and choose which ones work best for you. Oh, and read up on the credit card sections too smiley

I am beginning to nurture the thought on what I would do when I run out of this my naija foodstuffs that I brought with me. Yes call me a foodie grin

I don't even want to think about it... cry

I don't like oyinbo food at all... I have tried a lot of 'em and nothing tastes as good as jollof rice and plantain, efo riro, ogbono and poundo grin, moin moin!

I love cooking my own food my way, I got used to that since my university days in naija & it is now more of a hobby.

Going to London just to buy egusi or ogbono is not even worth it at all. There are a few halal (asian/pakistani) shops around that sell some things like okra, but no garri or elubo or egusi.

My days of eating sandwiches and casseroles don dey load small small. Don't pity me, na me wan come obodo oyibo.
Lool!
