I have some questions. Anyone residing in Uk can answer.

1. How do you guys download and play music on mobile phones? Do you pay for this like in iTunes, tinder and all or do you download free from naija sites?
Do they consider the latter illegal?
If so, how will they find out?

2: Will they confiscate a laptop with movies, music and books (soft copy) at the airport?

What if you buy a new laptop when you arrive and re download all your media files from cloud storage. How will they catch you since you didn't pay for these?

3: What stuffs seen as nothing here in naija, can implicate pesin for there?

No 2: no it not confiscated .
Except if the content is very evil or distrubing then possible

If there no reason to suspect a passenger then all these are not checked . People fly in and out and are on their way peacefully . Your laptops and phones are not checked . Your music your business

However when you get to the Uk , its important to always stick by the law and not engaged in anything that warrants been afraid of catching

Hmmm.. so I guess I'm being paranoid then. I just don't want anyone harassing me at the airport due to the tons of music and movies on my laptop.

Asides that, I'm good.

Thanks though.

Open at your peril.......

What if you buy the television just so you can connect and play video games on consoles.

Would you still need to pay for TV licence?

If your TV can receive BBC signals (either by digital or analogue means).

People in the UK also partake heavily in illegal downloads....

Your laptop can be confiscated, if illegal videos are downloaded (underage porn etc etc). And owner would be charged to court (and possibly registered on a s.ex offenders list) ....

I honestly don't know how people can live in London and still maintain their sanity. I just arrived at my hotel for a training tomorrow. I spent 4 hours driving on the motorway from the North-East, I then spent another 2.5 hours in Central London traffic trying to get to the hotel in Croydon from the M1. This is going to be my life every month till the middle of next year, and I'm so not looking forward to it.

Thankfully, there hasn't been snow up North today as compared to those of you who live down south and the midlands. The kind of snow we get up North, when it comes, is a special kind of snow. It's the kind of snow and black ice that normally makes the faint-hearted lose the will to live.

Anyway, I'm having my normal mix of Guinness and a shot of JD to step down after the long drive. grin Oyinbo people like to sell coloured water to us and call it Guinness, which is why I normally pour a shot of JD inside to upgrade their coloured water to at least the same alcoholic content as proper naija Guinness.

Trains, tubes, buses, cabs....it's all linked and

driving in London especially central is a big hassle
