Victor Moses played well last season but that shouldn't earn him African best player. i don't support mediocrity.

Sadio Mane, Pierre Aubameyang and Mohammed Salah all outclassed him for the year even though some has no trophy to show for it.

I think the reason Victor Moses is being hailed of recent is because he outperformed his previous performance, he played a bit better than how he always do. That's all
Why did Ronaldo win the Ballon dor over messi this year if not for trophies won?

The award is not for the best player. The award is for the most accomplished player with significant impact in the given year in review.

Moses was in the first team, a major componenet of the 3-4-3 that went on 13 straight wins and won the league.

How can you say he doesn't deserve it?
you know ball at all?

Moses is a better player than all those you've mentioned.

Quite inspiring. God tho, is the writer of stories - the author and finisher. All we have to do is just listen up as He speaks instructions to us

If only I had gone to Pepsi Academy when my father's friend begged him to let me play football. I had agility and intelligence. I was a great distributor of the ball and a master dribbler. The Super Eagles lost an asset in me. I should have won the FIFA Best Player Award at least ones and marshalled the Super Eagles to a World Cup victory.

I assume at 11 he may have spoken only pidgin, some hausa & maybe his mother tongue. He actually learned English abroad.

I agree with you.
Frankly speaking, Nigerian English seems like vernacular when you hear English people speak for the first time (in real life). Mehn, you can't understand much if you aren't used to their accent. Scottish accent is worse. For the first few weeks/months, you'll be lost when Scottish people are talking with you.
For an 11 year old child, the experience will be obviously worse.

same here o.Late last year or early this year, his sister got married at Edo.pictured with her was an elderly couple labeled as her parent. This kept me wandering. Are Victor's parents different from his Sister's parents? I am not understanding.

Not denying this so called version, however we have a lot of unverified truths in Nigeria which are the product of Chinese whispers. At his recent wedding, pictures were circulated stating his parents were in attendance and this was done by many sites etc. I would have expected someone of his status to debunk these claims which are damaging to his status.

am very sure the ones you see at his wedding are just a representative of his parents.Moses is a gwari boy who cannot speak good English. the op is right.

Oga, if you don't know...you should not say! Victor Moses' father is very much alive and is well known in certain circles. People have done different things in the past to make it where they are; it absolutely does not change who they are, what they have achieved or how they have impacted on their society. The disservice here is your teeth-lying that Moses is a Gwari boy...ol boy, park well jare cool
