Please is there any Uber or taxify partner or driver using the Hyundai Santa Fe 2005 Model, i am planning to buy one for Uber and taxify, the car is still very clean and in a perfect condition but i don't know what the fuel consumption is like and i don't know how rugged the car is for everyday Uber and Taxify movement.

Please i need advise urgently on this car before i make payment please.
No
Thanks in advance.

I am still tempted to get this car for uber, I went ahead to check the car today and it's a 4 cylinder engine, the fuel consumption is quite low, I haven't used a corolla before so I can't really compare but I still need some advice on this.
Will it work for uber and Taxify?

Guys please help

I think that car uses a timing belt. Get it inspected before you start work with it.

How do you mean timing belt, taught all cars have timing belt?

Other than that what do you think about the fuel consumption and durability, spare parts ?

Some cars have timing chains while some use belt. The 1zz in the Corolla makes use of a chain. If the car is treated properly the chain might be the need replacing. Meanwhile some variants of the Peugeot use a belt instead. These are more prone to wear and tear and usually need to be inspected around every 30k km or so not sure for cracks. You don't want a timing belt to snap on you. Repairs can be expensive and might lead to engine being replaced. Fuel consumption will be determined by driving habit and how hard you intend to work. Also. Making sure the emission system is in order will go a long way to lower fuel consumption.
Being A SUV you will spend more on fuel and maintenance than we that drive small saloon cars.

That's a freaking lie. It Does not make Sense to charge 10k to change engine oil. Something you can do yourself. Just remove the drain plug and drain then empty your oil into the engine. Is that worth 10k?

www.nairaland.com/attachments/6304779_youtubecertifiedmasterautomobiletechnicianyouknowwhoyouare5810949_png3ce1c554cdd2d5578f43910edb5413e7
With that 10k buy set of spanners, oil filter wrench and overall and you are in business, make the woman who bought Gazzuzz tokunbo scanner your front desk/ admin officer and you already have an edge over him.

entparrot:

What has he done that makes him so good? Changing oil? Or condemning ur platinum plug, or using a scanner that is actually DO IT YOURSELF TO DECEIVE YOU?

Ask him if he can ring an engine? Or tell him ur timing chain cut while on motion, he will reply u 10k to scan..

Meanwhile that malfunction scanner cannot detect if the valve bends or the block engine affected.

What GAZ.ZUZZ does is just buy and fix, brake pad, car wash, engine oil, and he is trying to make it a big deal.

Partner with that guy, you will be in charge of admin duties and equipments and parts purchase - you seem conversant with that - while he does the work. Your duo will do wonders to/with cars.
Creating a device to detect the bolded will earn you worldwide recognition oh.

Thanks for your observations, but will the difference on fuel and maintenance affect my profit in a disturbing way? can I still use this car and make good profit, also ist a car that I can drive round the clock without frequent breakdown.
I plan to do this full time for a while, I mean as much as I can drive through the day I definitely would, need to raise cash for school next year. So I will really demand much from the car in terms of usage.
Am trying to do all these evaluation because I have a limited budget and I don't want to make any mistake on the choice of car since I am borrowing money to purchase it.
Would have gone for a corolla but they seem to be way out of my budget and resources.

I just checked with the seller, he thinks it uses timing belt, does that disqualify the car from uber or makes it a bad choice for the business.

Hello People so much Ado about Gazuzz but the truth is nobody forced you to use him so why come here to say all sorts, the cost of repairing your car at toyota will be more expensive than mandilas which would be more expensive than gazzuzz who would be more expensive than the road side mech so choose which so ever you desire and stop coming here to say all sorts of unneeded parroting...

On to more important issues..please guys am trying to add my account details on Vault.uber but it is rejecting the account number and swift code what could be the issue, then secondly as a driver would i still need to upload insurance and road worthiness if the car owner has done same..At what point would i know am ready to start the waka waka, ave already been paired to the vehicle and the owner says i have been paired to him already. thank you.

You're a driver, you don't need to add account, let your partner handle that

My brother stick to 1.8 liter engines. It seems the offer you got for the Santa fe was quite juicy but it may not be a good buy on the long-run.

You'll buy more fuel than we saloon drivers. If the car was WELL TAKEN CARE OF then you don't have a problem. If not pls DON'T. since you'll be repaying a loan back from the proceeds then your machine must be on point.

1. the Santa fe is ugly.

2. it's a nigerian used. he would have to spend extra money to fix it up.

3. he is borrowing money to buy it. May not just be wise.
