We're almost 2mths post partum so I have to wait until 3mths to start any exercise? World people will just kill me with their mouth

Yeah i know that feeling very well. Exercises will make those muscles firm again.

i'm gonna take note of that..i need to experience everything experienceable in pregnancy tongue (only positive and good ones ohh)..

How do you even know where the head is (apart from scan). Sorry for my many questions cool

Scan is the surest way to know though, I used scan that I did some time ago plus there are times I think I can feel certain parts with my hand if I touch my tummy. I think I felt his bumbum one day on the same level as ribs so I assumed d head is downwards in pelvic area.

If your belly is trim and you are a slim person you can also see the regular hiccup movement from your stomach. That's another way to know.

I feel what I think is hiccup atimes, but I don't feel it from where the head is.
Baby is head down already and it doesn't come from that region
Na only me waka come for this one?

Babies move and change position so maybe position of head is changing, it could actually be hiccups, how long does it last?

Good morning mamas. Pls help me o! On my hospital list for baby, there is glucose in the list thats incase breastmilk doesn't flow immediately but in our antenatal classes the midwife told us not to use glucose for our baby bcus of the sugar content in it, that baby is so tender to start taking in sugar substance like that, so it brought to my question if formula is preferable and doesn't have sugar in it(as in is it as pure as breastmilk?). I'm doing my shopping I want to know the necessary one to get. Thank you as I anticipate your replies.

Baby has been head down since Sep and doc said at this stage it will be difficult for baby to turn
It lasts for over 2mins, sometimes less
Felt it for over 2mins yesterday

Just buy it cos you never could tell how events will play out! Glucose is not only for baby you too might need it.

You may as well just offer formula instead of glucose if you don't want to.

NB all milk based product contain sugar either natural or artificial.

yeahh but u know at this my stage (2nd trimester) the baby can still turn anywhere she likes at anytime.. so i thought there's a way u as the mother can know where the head is when ..
I found this online. I feel it should help...
Is your belly button popping out? Is your tummy a little flat? Do you feel a lot of kicks under your ribcage? Most likely your baby is facing your spine, and is in the anterior position. It’s also likely that those little knobs you’re feeling are his/her feet or knees. Also, your baby probably sticks his/her booty out a lot in this position.

Have you felt your baby have the hiccups yet? Hiccups are a good indication of what position your baby might be in. If you feel the hiccups low in your belly, then your baby is head down. If you feel his/her hiccups up high, then your baby is head up.

Do you feel a bulge/lump at the top of your belly? If so, try pushing on it lightly. If the lump you feel moves, but the rest of their body doesn’t, then most likely you just pushed on your baby’s little head. If you push on the lump/bulge and your baby shifts their whole body, then most likely your baby is head down, and you just pushed on their booty.

Head-down (cephalic) position

If you have a lump to the left or the right at the top of your tummy, try pressing gently on it. If you feel your baby's whole body move, it suggests that he's in a head-down position.

You may also notice that you feel his hiccups below your belly button.

His other movements may feel different depending on which way he's facing:

Anterior position (head down, with his back towards the front of your tummy). If your baby's in an anterior position, you're likely to feel movements under your ribs. Your belly button may pop out, too.
Posterior position (head down, with his back against your back). This position usually means you'll feel kicks right at the front of your tummy, generally around the middle. You may also notice that your tummy looks as though it's flattened out, rather than being a rounded shape.

Bear in mind that if your placenta is at the front of your bump (anterior placenta), it may mean you can't feel your baby's kicks at the front so well.

Bottom-down (breech) position

If your baby's in a bottom-down position, what you feel will depend on where his legs are, as well as whether he's posterior or anterior.

If his feet are up by his ears (frank breech), you may feel kicks around your ribs. But if he's sitting in a cross-legged position (complete breech), his kicks are likely to be lower down, below your belly button.

You may also be able to feel a hard, rounded lump under your ribs, which doesn't move very much. This is your baby's head, and it may, unfortunately, be quite uncomfortable for you.

If your breech baby is facing backwards though (anterior position), you may not feel quite so many movements. This is why it's important to get to know what's normal for your baby, rather than trying to compare with other women, whose baby may be lying differently.

Looool, I'm 9 months pp and my tummy is not quite there yet. I was told to use my pp belt when my stitches healed completely so I started before 3 months but no exercise till 3 months and light tummy exercises at that. You can gradually build up to hard core exercising by 6 months. I'm waiting to wean then I'll add dieting to it. With a CS delivery you have to be patient with yourself. For now enjoy the preggy benefits grin

This is not a good benefit as I'm not enjoying it at all, and I won't like it to still be this way by the time I resume I'm ready to do anything to achieve a flat tummy.....thanks

Yeahh this is truly very helpful..cos i can relate with some of the positions and the feeling..

And i think i must have gotten those hiccups..i just thought they were another type of kicks at the time. thanks for the info

Personally I don't like glucose, especially for babies.
I'd advise you to buy the baby milk and ignore the glucose.

U just totori my long throat now cry
For me o, I do beat egg and sardine together, then slice tomato, rodo and onion with it. I will then apply butter on d bread b4 putting the stuffs.......also u can add salt with little maggi while beating d egg and sardine, then grease the toaster with butter b4 putting ur bread, so it doesn't stick

More importantly, send mine wen u are through

Depends on you.
I use vegetables like onions, tomato, pepper, sweet corn and green peas sparingly. The main stuffing are butter, eggs and or (fish, sausage or corned beef)
Or just plain with butter. I really like this one though.

So like Dunasy said, let's have a zone by zone cooking fiesta. I know it's coming pretty late.... Sorry.

So we have 6 geopolitical zones in Nigeria.
1. SouthSouth
2. South East
3. South West
4. North Central
5. North East
6. North West

So which geopolitical zone would you like to go first?
Please accompany each meal with
---- the recipe of the meal with both the native and English names of the ingredients
----the procedure
----a picmix of the ingredients and some of the procedure
---- picture of what the final product looks like.
(real pictures would be preferred but you can do internet pictures too)

The number of likes would determine the zone to go first to last. (please vote on subsequent posts)
If we can't start this week, we can move it to Next Week, depending on you guys.
Here goes

Voting ends by 10pm tonight
