It's not just the money. Many of these boys grew up watching the EPL. You know Nigerians have a craze for the EPL. Playing in the EPL was a dream. He must have thought he had arrived after making that move. Not just the money, but the whole thing.
I reiterate if he had spent one or a couple more years in the Spanish League it would have been better for his career. Who knows, he would have moved to Real Madrid or Barca thereafter. Just my opinion anyway..

TheGoodJoe:

I do not think going to England was a bad move as such. He worked with sound managers like Quique Sanchez Flores and Walter Mazarri. He came to a competitive environment but I think Success first dream was to become rich and as soon as he sealed the Watford deal, he was satisfied he made it.

I think that caused the distraction and also affected his work ethic.

I hope he comes to the realization that he has the potential to become a great player and make use of the opportunities around him.

If Success scores 20 goals in the Championship, it is not convincing enough to believe he can compete with Richarlison. Richarlison is the problem. He is a machine.

I say Success toughen up, work on his speed, change his diet, develop insane discipline and give Richarlison a run for his money. Marco Silva will give Success his chance if he shows improvement in training.

It is a tough call but it will get the best from Success.

After a £12.5 million move to Watford that's very big money for Watford. He came in as a striker.

This is his second season 17 games and 1 goal.

Those statistics are abysmal add to that reports of gross indiscipline and unprofessionalism. You can see he has been his worst enemy. You do not get too many chances in football. If he plays with the U23's he better be the most outstanding player in every game. Or even there small hungry determined teenage boys will overtake him.

Nobody has time for failure in football particularly self induced failure.

He need a clean break a loan in the championship will not be easy. But the intensity of the Championship will prepare him for the EPL. But that is if he performs.

I guarantee at least 4/5 clubs will give him an immediate chance based on past performance.

Richarlison is not the problem Success is his own problem. Richarlison came in this season not last.

Richarlison is not the problem Success is his own problem. Richarlison came in this season not last.

Last season, Success had injury challenges. This season, even if Success gets himself back to form, he still has to compete with Richarlison on the left. I doubt he will get the striking role easily at Watford.

Isaac Success is not the first promising talent to flop. Heck, Salah flopped at Chelsea. Success can pick himself up by leaving the club or staying. I say stay because I see Richarlison as a healthy competition to bring the best in Success.

However, joining the U23 will also be a brilliant idea for Marco Silva to study him. Talent does not die. With hardwork, Success can become a shining light because the talent is already there.

However, it starts with Success becoming disciplined and focused. After that, if he works hard, things will turn around for him in the right direction.

I also felt the big money move to Watford was premature. I think his agent was more interested in the financial bounty than Success growing. Atletico Madrid was the right step. There he would have been with other young players in a familiar environment.

We can not turn back the hand of time, so Success needs to make the right decisions now if he is going to become a footballing great.

Talent will get you noticed.

But hardwork, discipline, diligence and focus will get you success.

Many far better and more talented players than Success failed because they lacked those essential. Ingredients.

Ravel Morriston, Adel Taraabt and then Balotelli for me who is only utilising maybe 50% of his talent.

Add Giovanni Dos Santos and KP Boateng to the list. Funny that Taarabt, KP Boateng and Giovanni Dos Santos were together at Tottenham when they were young stars.

Taraabt is a complete waste of talent.

At Fulham I watched him and he had no discipline and respect. Late for training doing what he likes. But the Managers allowed him because he was that good. If he had focus and discipline he would be in the top 10 at least of the best players in the world.

I just hope Rohr has the balls to choose Onyekwuru over Musa when the time to name the final 23 list comes up. Cos the whole world clearly knows who the better winger is.

This is a player that was not only highly rated by his club but also the league. He left Granada as a winger that likes to cut inside btw. Troy Deeney and our own Ighalo have both faulted Walter Mazzarri for a lot of the drama that was going on behind the scenes last season and Isaac has been injured this season so u honestly have no right to call him a failure. All I see is a young man that has admitted to having a drinking problem if anything we should support him.
