That Obafemi Martins highlights though, that reminds me why he is called Obagoal... I think Rohr has no choice but to invite him now to camp for some of our next games. His goal scoring instincts and experience is not a bad weapon to have though.

Wow that's sad to hear. Chai. He and Awoniyi are now tussling for that best affiliation with relegated clubs.

Joebie is correct, he got relegated in the playoff game.

Do you know that almost all Nigeria strikers have similar blazing highlights when coined from YouTube...? even Bartholomew Ogbeche self...

so highlights can be deceptive....

to be honest wit you...if we are going to adopt that 2-5-3 & 2-3-5 formation...

then we will have less need for too many forwards...

watched first half, his defensive abilities needs more work cos he is not as efficient defensively so he may not be really suitable for a wing back, but his attacking is more efficient than vic mo.
He really needs to work on that aspect of his game.

i think Obeche should be invited before Martins. At least his present form is better than Martins'. He's firing on all cylinders.

when i said few months ago shortly after ONYEKURU switched to Anderletch, that he could score up to 30 goals to gate crash WORLD CUP team list, someone tried to mock me.

for all the SE players going to WC,ONYEKURU is the one i want to shine more than the others,i just a new and unlikely star from NIGERIA
to emerge from in the WC
From the way he talks, you can tell he's confident of making the WC list.

I won't be surprise if he scores more than 30 just to make the list.

Loveren will not be able to deal one on one with Ighalo or Obagoal. They are just too strong, too fast and too technical for him.

I smile every morning just knowing that Loveren would be one of the guys to man the Croatian defence come Russia 2018 grin

My own is not from Wiki but from watching. You said Wiltord was not a striker earlier. You were wrong there. If you want to change your stance, you are free. Just do not try to switch and make it look as if you were down with Wiltord as a striker from day one. That is a no-no.
ok Sir

The 3-5-2//5-3-2 formation is just a formation we're trying to master not to adopt
Since Rohr took over the team has played 4-4-1-1 formation, 4-3-2-1 formation even 4-3-3 (diamond). So he's experimenting on the 3-5-2/5-3-2 formation so our style can be unpredictable by opponents.
He wants to be like Loëw that has 8 different formations depending on the opponents (the reason why it's difficult to beat them). Cos at every time of the game, the team formation changes and it confuses opposition play.

who said that...?
if that saying was true...the likes of pirlo, maldini, figo etc...

would have still been playing...
those are just words many use to justify their points...or give reason to their views...

it often does not hold water.
;
My brother you are totally wrong.
Maldini and co retired due to old age .
Or are you saying those players are low class or what. Should they be playing football forever or won't they retire?

The saying is right, form us temporary and class is permanent.

then martins is never aging....

reread your write up..... saying that maldini and co retired due to old age....meaning they still have their class intact...can still deliver when called to play football...if possible win the world cup for their country....then why did them retire in the first place?

my brother nothing...absolutely nothing last forever....

Victor Moses is perhaps one of the best wing backs in the world( usually due to his speed). l believe he can do his thing from any of those flanks.
Moses must work on his crosses though, they seem way too obvious all the time.

me think Moses is too important for us to use him as a wingback, he could pair with whoever up top and have the licence to roam, just my thought tho. but I don't think we'll use that formation unless situation calls for it

Jokes apart for Barthos age he's doing very well in Holland. He last featured for us 12 years ago. Not saying we should call him for wc but the resurrection of his career is something really good.

I'd say we call him. His stats are getting hard to ignore. Forget age, as far as he is performing, then sincerely he is good to go. How many of our strikers is scoring hatrick and brace?

I agree.

Is he older than Martins? If Martins is good enough even though he is scoring in China, Ogbeche should also be considered.

Club performance should get him an invite to the national team.

Dudes should stop taking things too personal on this Thread. We ain't part of the Technical Crew, rather Fans of the Eagles.

There are millions of Fans out there suggesting different Names for the World Cup List - hence we shouldn't ridicule or bash anyone that suggests a Name(s) here.

I hope Rohr picks the right Personnel for the Mundial. He knows what he wants, thus he's gonna pick the right Players that can efficiently and effectively execute his Game Plan! Whoever he picks has my full Support

i thinks I like this....

should we go wit one striker upfront...in the case of 4-4-1-1 perse...I will prefer we go wit ighalo being that he is not only good with his foot but his head also...
he has a reasonable height....that can be an advantage also.

I won't mind Moses play the wing back role....

should we use the 3-5-2 formation.

how about we try...

iwobi and Henry in the two man attack...
and also give a try to...
Ighalo and nacho combo...in the two man attack.....

I think iwobi and Henry combination gonna be deadly.....
Henry ball control and dribbling skills gonna be disastrous to most teams...
