Our performance in that competition was overrated. Losing one man against Greece and the game went south. No game plan. We couldn't even win S. Korea to qualify. We may want to blame yakubu but the players weren't really impressive.

How is that an issue? Brain Idowo came through from the defence and did Argentina bad thing. Even small Ebuehi would would have gone home with an assist from the defence too.

[we had issues with the older players in 1998 world cup if you remember] I agree with Kogi45 who says enyeama and martins should be left out so as to keep the team unity. They are not bigger than Nigeria and they can't be missed that much. That's the fact and it's also time we look ahead with the younger folks we have now. Russia 2018 will not be the end of football. Martins has given his best and we do appreciate him for that.

My memory tells.me that Martins was not part of the nations cup qualifiers failures. Try harder next time.
