Nice game by Lukaku! long may it continue!!
Shaw also had a good game and tired out pretty fast. He needs more game time to build his match fitness.
All in all, not so a wonderful performance but the result is quite acceptable.

it was good game, everyone put in good performance so it covered any mistakes if there were any.

even before we went down with a goal I was happy with the way we were eager to get the ball back when we lost the ball.

would be more impressed if we increased our intensity but I ain't complaining and lukaku did well today even with his link up.

3 4 1 2 gives us a much better balance. Allowing martial and or Rashford to play centrally along with Lukaku.
Rashford being better down the middle is not new, but martial is proving to be more dangerous down that middle too.

Even our Valencia and young seem to be doing better as wing backs than the traditional fullbacks in a back 4

We should stick to this formation and not just use it for big games.

Mkhitaryan, Mata and lingard call kill themselves for the spot behind the front 2.
Lingard seems to be edging the battle now, but I sincerely hope the other 2 pick up soon. Mhkitaryan especially.

he had a small incident towards the end of the game when all the subs were used and played like someone nursing an injury for the reminder of the match

"It was good too for [Scott] McTominay and Axel [Tuanzebe] in the Champions League to have minutes.

"Other guys [who have] not played so much, Luke Shaw, especially offensively, very, very, good and great contribution for the team.

"[Sergio] Romero is a great goalkeeper, he’s only on the bench [normally] because we have David [De Gea]. I’m really happy."

But to say the truth, that Lukakus goal is an outstanding goal. But nobody will applaud him. Morata today cost Chelsea top spot by missing sitters, but the Einsteins said its only Lukaku that miss chances. Ok oo

Oga e never do. The truth must be said, where are all those 10pagers ? Nonsense, the guy scored an excellent poachers goal, but no praise, but let him mistakenly fail to score in one match, them go use 20 pages take discuss him Mata. Nonsense.

"We confirm but we confirmed the way we wanted to confirm, which was playing well and having a result. [At] half-time we were losing but playing well.

"I was not unhappy with the players at all. In the second half, we had that strong reaction, we really didn’t want to lose the match and I think the boys played professionally and I think we qualified in the way we wanted to qualify."

What does Lukaku missing have to do with Morata, are they telepathic?

I hope we are seeing how Lukaku is useless and does nothing for the team?
He finally redeem himself after his night was going to an embarrassing end. He missed an empty net, and another occasion he was slow to react to a perfect through ball from Pogba.

Lukaku also missed na.

Morata tested the goalkeeper from unexpected positions.

No one has said Morata or Aguero can't miss sitter. Honestly, Lukaku only scored to redeem his woeful night.

Which one is woeful night huh
Nawa for you. I guess you didn't see the chance he created for Rashford. The chance you're shouting he missed was saved by the GK and he had no space and not well positioned

You have an agenda. Did Lukaku not miss an empty net from two yards? Was he not slow to react to Pogba's perfect ball?

But when I read this thread, I saw where people were blaming Rashford when the scores stood at 0-0 and 0-1. Rashford who had a far better night than Lukaku. Just because there was an argument, people shifted blame to the young lad. The only ball Rashford could have scored was a poor attempt at goal. But it was still an attempt.

Good Lukaku has scored. Let’s see how it helps his confidence. See I don't watch match alone, so I hear what people say about our players. Even other fans.

I saw the chance. Rashford had a far better night, but people were here blaming Rashford. Rashford still shot, but went off target.

Don’t mind them. Lukaku missed two from where a striker is expected to score. He scored to redeem himself, now we wont hear word again.

"The truth is Eric Bailly no chance for the weekend,” he said, when asked which of his currently-injured players would be available on Sunday.

“Phil Jones, a chance. Fellaini, a chance. Zlatan, a big chance. Matic is injured but will play for sure. I'm telling the truth. He is injured but he will play for sure. Carrick no chance.”

Mourinho added: “It's the truth. No stories of Lacazette, David Silva. All the truth.”

We have players who are business like or try to give 100% of their ability. In the attack, Rashford are Lingard at top. In midfield, Herrera and Matic.

Some other guys, sometimes they think it's children's play with unnecessary leg over. They are very good footballers, but not business like every time they get the ball.
