Pls who knows what Tier UNN is?
If it's not a TIER 1, you might have to nominate another occupation.
UNN is tier 2.

@obyroli
Go with your husband's occupation or try Canny immigration if you don't mind.

Hello,

What are the consequences of the university tier level and university course years.

My profile for ur advice:

Mechanical engineering, 5 year course in LASU. I know ill be assessed by EA. Please advice if any the consequence of the combination of my university, course and study years.

Should i expect to get Austrailian equivalent bachelor or associatr degree

Lol. there are no conSequence since you studied a 5 year course in a Tier 2 uni. However, kindly go through the thread as there are several people who have accessed and even gotten grants as engineers. You will find all the information you need. You can start by searching key words like EA.

UNN is tier 2.

Zany.

Thank you .

That means, you need to Nominate a skill level 2 job that's close to your occupation or degree.
www.anzscosearch.com pls visit this site and search for Skill level 2 occupations you might be able to nominate.
(Too sleepy to copy or search for the name of who this info is for, i believe you will see it)

The point required for invitation has never been fixed at 60.

60 points only relate to EOI.
To submit EOI, you need a minimum of 60 skilled points.

However, after submitting your EOI, depending on how competitive your occupation is, you may be invited with just 60 points or as high as 75 points. I've read about 80+ points and sometimes I wonder how that's possible. But yeah, Indians...
I wonder when DIBP would favour Nigerians by adding Pidgin and other indigenous Nigerian languages to the list for 5 extra points as with Mandarin, Hindi, etc.

To be clear DIBP didn't increase the point to 70; you can still be invited with 60 points, just a matter of when (time).
It's the system which is completely controlled by candidates in the pool that dictates the cut-off.
All DIBP does is to allocate maximum invitations per round and I don't think that has changed much.

However, as more candidates submit EOI with higher points; the system can only invite the first set of EOI's with the highest points in the pool. Those not invited after a round, panic and look for other means of increasing their points. When they do, they go up the list and probably get invited. Another candidate does the same and the cycle continues. If everyone submits EOI with 60 points, then invitations would be made at 60 points too. But who get chill? Everyone wanna get ITA tomorrow. So, nay leaving any stone unturned; tick every point possible.

Hi experts,
My transcript is taking too much time to arrive and uniben is currently on strike further complicating issues.
Is it possible for me to apply for EA assessment now and upload the transcript as soon as it arrives? @ least it should arrive b4 the 6 weeks it will take EA to attend to my case.
In addition, my elect/elect degree is from uniben. Hope I can claim 15 points with this as a professional engineer?
Thanks.

Just save yourself future stress. What if the transcript arrives later? Try to push Buttons men . I had similar situation and with some unbelievable move I made, I got what I wanted then lodged my application.
Nonetheless, this is my POV. You must be yourself when you want to make the decision on waiting or not.
Best regards

There lies your answers. You are not eligible for the visa type, any suggestion otherwise is a scam.

It is because that occupation is less competitive I guess which is a good one. If your work experience is in that line, then you have a high chance of getting your visa.

The fact that my questions were not answered concerning skills assessment spurred me in to action. I was able to place myself appropriately under the correct skills assessment authority. My main aim of writing this is to help someone with similiar combination of degrees. But, I would appreciate corrections in case I am wrong.

BSc (Physics)- You should definitely be able to get positive assessment from VETASSES, because they were designated, most physical science courses including but not limited to Chemist, Geologist etc, Some life science courses like Botanist, Zoologist, Biochemist and so on and Vocational and Educational degrees including University lecturer and tutor. Co-incidentally, I could be positively assessed either based on bachelors degree in physics or work experience as a lecturer both by VETASSES, especially if I can demonstrate knowledge of the chosen area.

Note: You would need to get assessed both for qualification and work experience to get a positive assessment for university lecturer, teaching on its own does not contribute to positive assessment. At least one year of relevant post-qualification work experience is required and a research evidence by publication in peer-reviewed journals.

You can google VETASSES general occupation list and download the information sheet under the University lecturer column.

As for my MSc in Materials Science and Engineering, it only becomes relevant if it is specified as my area of interest and have possessed scholarly publications to be positively assessed as a University lecturer, well because, as found out, the skills assessment is based on first degree or bachelors qualification. Although, I could also use it to assess myself under EA, if I can demonstrate that I have indepth knowledge of this area as speciified in the career episodes for the CDR.

Running late for Shiloh, wifey calling, Should update the information tomorrow.

Remember this is for those with future similar questions and could make use of this simple post to clear their doubts, especially if they have similar doubts about their degree combination. E pain me sha say nobody even answer me, I must confess, but no wahala.

Lol. The truth is everyone also read about the info we share here. There's no one with direct contact to assessment bodies or full information about all occupations. Everything I know, I learnt by reading posts here, asking people questions privately and reading and reading on Google.
If we are not responding, it's because no one has info about it. It's easier to give information when you know and you are sure because your knowledge is based on your experience or other ppl's experience.
I can give information about ACS, IT occupations and a bit about ACWA. Because, experience. Also I know about skill levels or university ranking, because I've read up on it.
Even tho I don't understand all you wrote, I am glad u have information too and this can be useful to others.
Pls once you get accessed and it comes out positive, do not hesitate to share with other graduates of physics what u did and which occupation you nominated.
Pray for us all in Shiloh and forgive us for ignoring you. Thank you..
