LI:Wow congratulations Ll!! And so well written that it didn't seem long at all. Please may I ask a question if you don't mind. When applying for the emergency appointment did you submit the 3 docs required: Nigerian doctor's letter, US doctor's letter and proof of funds in both instances. Why do you think they denied it first before approving? Thanks. |

seemorejoy:I haven't heard her name mentioned to.She is on my list of doctors to contact.I will start in January God willing.I am still searching for cheap tickets. |

Do you have a Dr in the US? That should be your first step. Your Dr will determine how soon or how late you can travel. Some Drs will not accept you as a patient after a certain number of weeks. In addition, most airlines will not allow you to fly after 36 weeks. valeria: |

Thank you Mamaron. First time, we submitted only Doctor's correspondence. I think they said, they had limited slots for emergency appointments, they said they didn't think we had a genuine case for emergency. However, we submitted again with all the other requested docs and got an approval less than 6 hours later. mamaron: |

Pls house , need some clarification on these , I engaged two hospitals and below are excerpts from each Hospital 1: “You are not required to pay for the acceptance letter but if you are requesting on be written for any reason you will first make $200 non-refundable fee“ Hospital 2, after sending my requested status profile : “I have scheduled you to come see Dr ** on 21st may 2018 by 11am. Pls let me know if there’s anything else I can help with” My question: do I need to pay a certain amount for an acceptance letter that I need to go to interview with or for Poe? Does the response or correspondence from hospital suffice for what I need for interview and Poe |

valeria: Supernaturalone:Hello Valeria, Supernaturalone has said it all. Just wanted to chip in.......in general I think US doctors in most states will not do an elective CS before 39 weeks UNLESS there is a medical need. Regardless, you need to fly before 36 weeks with a singleton or before 32 weeks with multiples for most airlines. |

iwuoahsamuels:The VO/POE want evidence that you've contacted a doctor, you know and have what it takes to give birth in the US. You don't need a formal 'acceptance letter' from a Dr. However, you are not precluded from getting one if you wish. Some Drs will demand a deposit before they give you one, which usually you'll forfeit, if eventually you don't show up. Ensure that the Dr/hospital correspondence you receive confirms the amounts payable to both Dr and hospital and you have sufficient funds / source of funds to back that up. |
| Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by dere5: 9:01pm On Dec 06, 2017 |
iwuoahsamuels:Some Drs do require you to pay a deposit for correspondence, which would be deducted from your final bill at the end of the day. But you end up forfeiting it if you don't use that particular Dr. The 2nd letter you posted here is not detailed enough,it's suppose to also indicate how much the service would cost,it would also help if you have something to show how much the hospital services will cost also. |

Hello all, Saw an ad from wakanow on Delta promo to Houston for 283k. I have been trying to book but getting outrageous figures. Anyone in the house that can put me through will be appreciated. Also am interested in the flying period. Thanks and nice night. |

LI:Funny how before you approach a window, you seem to hear what everyone else in the room is saying but can almost only hear your blood coursing through your veins as soon as it’s your turn with the VO. It's nice to run into folks who write so well they make reading a pleasure. Congratulations sir! |

| Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by LI(m): 9:57am On Dec 07, 2017 |
15k was the total expenses for the trip. Medical expenses alone was 8k. The itemized billing should sum up to a "zero value" if you settled your bill in full, that's why it's referred to as a "zero balance". It would typically include discounts granted by the hospital (if you got any). In addition, you can request the doctor/hospital write a letter of non-indebtedness on your behalf. If you didn't access any medical aid, the letter should say so. If you received any quotations before accessing the services, please include those as well. Omodadi2: |

No one gets one itemized bill. Remember you have to pay each service provider separately: Doctor, Oakbend, Brown and Associates, NICS, Anaesthetics, etc. Each of these guys would give you separate itemized billing of their charges. Hope this clarifies Omodadi2: |
