I am not really rooting for anyone in particular but I really want to know if buying a player like Sanchez at 27 is a bad idea.
How old was Van Persie when we got him?

players peak at different times and apart from Ronaldo and Messi who are aliens, I think most other footballer of the year winners have been within a certain age bracket and 27 is actually a good age to get the best from a player who has peaked at that age. Also the player can still give at least 2 - 3 years of good football.

Buying a good player at 19 - 24 is still not a guarantee that those players will go on to be fantastic or get us anywhere and we have had quite a litany of them come and go.

Price in the market is crazy right now but if the player is 27 and in his prime then why not?

just an observation.
What if you look at it this way? How many years did RVP give us before he was sold?

Heard about bebe before he joined the club? Did he play for a top team winning trophies and not as a substitute or bench warmer? Did he lead his team successfully against Barca and to the Champions league final? You shouldn't put two of them in the same sentence

which club did Rashford play for before he started playing for the our first team?

when we scout a young player most times its not because he has played for a top club and has won things that the player is looked at. They are mostly looked at because they show promise and poutential.

of course I can place bebe and Sanchez on the same sentence because the reason a names like Ozil and Sanchez is being mentioned at that age by both united and city fans is because of what they bring to the table that we all have seen.

some are scouted and recommended based on potentials while other are sought after for their experience.

Well, I've been on this thread for over 3 years. If anything, I can attest to the fact that elampiro doesn't insult first. Even during his days with Coogar, only if he kept insulting him would he talk back. His jibes yet wld remain civil. He might be a pastor. Lol

And yeah, Lukaku will get a goal on Sunday.

Sanchez will be 30 by next yr..don't know if he's d better option but..buying dybala for 130m and wages of 180k per week isn't a bad idea..(plus we'll revover back the money and more than that within a month).
we are united smiley

Man city don't have that edge with it comes to defense( esp. since stones got injured). if we attack them with more bodies upfront, we gonna score lots of goals.

Seriously I don't know the purpose of this. Bebe was an unknown even among the coaching staff but Rashford has been at Old Trafford for how long before he was given a chance to play in the senior team?

It wasn't an insult and you shouldn't see it that way. So I apologize as it was intended.

That said, you keep on continuing to twist facts. You talk about Aguero but refuse to talk about the team as a whole. Aguero that has not scored from open play in two months is who you are using to rubbish Lukaku's effort and you think it's OK? They have both missed same number of big chances but no Lukaku is the waster. Auba has lost 17 big chances but Lukaku is the one preventing his team from playing.

We need him to improve, just as we need the whole team. Rashford, not trying to score has a poor pass accuracy. He needs to improve on that, but because he is skilful and can drimble upandan you don't see anything wrong with that. It's OK
He has only played four EPL matches since returning from injury in September. He didn't complete any of the matches. Unlike Lukaku who has played every minutes since then. Aguero is scoring every 84 mins and Lukaku every 150+. How can you even compare?

October
The whole of October, Aguero played one Premier League match. He scored a penalty.

November

1. Champions League vs Napoli he scored from open play

2. Vs Arsenal he scored a penalty

3. Vs Feryenood no goal

4. Vs Huddersfield he scored a penalty

5. Vs Southampton no goal.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 9:59pm On Dec 06, 2017
The same period. Without injury and playing 90 minutes

Lukaku

Vs Liverpool no goal

Vs Benfica no goal

Vs Huddersfield no goal

Vs Sawnsea no goal

Vs Tottenham no goal

Vs Benfica no goal

Vs Chelsea no goal

Vs Newcastle 1 goal

Vs Brighton no goal

Vs Watford no goal.

1 goal in 10 matches in two months of full 90 minutes

eph12 , you just have to agree that I have a superior argument.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by PietroRico(m): 9:59pm On Dec 06, 2017
If it's any consolation the gulf between city's regulars and not so regulars is just as big as ours if not bigger.
On the long run, it may bode well for us if they become unfortunate with bad injuries
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 10:06pm On Dec 06, 2017
Lukaku went two months (10 matches) with just one goal. Even matches we played him in the opposition box are there. If you add the Arsenal match that is 11 matches.

Yet people said he is getting better. From September ending to date, Lukaku has scored only one league goal. One big chance against Newcastle, that he couldn't have missed.

People who complained were right to do so. In those matches, Martial, Rashford, Young scored. Yet the excuse is that we park bus. Lie lie lies from the pit of hell.

In the same time Aguero has only scored from penalties. Remove those penalties and Aguero will be scoreless in over 2months

Is it justifiable for fans of a team to criticize their striker who has scored 1 goal (1 awoof goal) in 11 matches?

Yes or No

If you are sincere with your answer, it automatically ends this argument. If you like keep saying he gave a through ball for Rashford against CSKA. CSKA is just a point above Spatark Moscow that Liverpool beat 7-0 today.

Good night!

Guy na wa ooo you no dey tire?

FYI, I am one of those that criticized Lukaku especially in the Assanal game but I think he did well in the last game both in the fact that he scored and his link up play was good. so your criticism in his last game get as e be, but its your opinion.

I thought you said you were not really that bothered about his scoring because we all agree a striker can have a barren spell. You were particular about his link up play but be like say you don change the criticism to Lukaku has scored only 1 goal in 2months and you are shouting it upandan like you are selling agege bread.

so to you Lukaku is practically useless because he can't link up and is not scoring.

its turn around like this that make people think you just no like Lukaku.

my main contention is the age of a player, so let's not make it about Bebe.

Talking about your other points will just see us move in circles. I think we are passed that already. You just stating what you have stated before. I am more interested in this awoof 1 goal you are talking about. Which one is the awoof goal?

Lukaku is a bad striker but he has missed same amount of big chances as other strikers. The Auba you were asking for has missed 17 and we haven't even gone half of the season. Where will he get that number of big chances to miss at United? The difference between his goals and others is just 1-4. Aguero or whoever it is has played much lesser minutes but has missed same number of big chances, what does this tell you?

You say Lukaku has been scoring awoof goals but that is a big lie from the pit of hell. His last two goals were far from awoof.

He has a better shot accuracy than every other striker except Salah. His 68% take on success is higher than Rashford, Martial, Aguero, Morata, Salah. Don't take my word for it, check squawka. See he went through a rough patch in front of goals, big deal? Who hasn't? But when you try to downplay his role in the team its bad bro

Aguero usually get substituted at 60+ mins, or when they seal their match. If he is allowed to play till the end he could have scored. Again Lukaku has played almost double the matches Aguero played. Nothing to show.

Our potential Ro16 opponents.

Who is talking in circles now? You said mentioned this a million times. Have you ever heard of any award for strikers who missed the least big chances? It is the striker who scores the most goals and then another award for best player. Lukaku is doing poorly here.

eph12:
. The Auba you were asking for has missed 17 and we haven't even gone half of the season. Where will he get that number of big chances to miss at United? Aubameyang has one goal in every match. Lukaku is a poor Aubameyang. Last season Aubameyang scored 34 league goals. No one gives trophies for big chances missed. Compare Lukaku to Kane who play in same league and see. Stop going to Bundesliga. Aubameyang is the fastest player in the world, he might have used his pace to create one vs one several times and miss some. It is different from one who waits for a pass just to tap in and miss.

eph12:

What is short accuracy if it doesn't score? This man, you don confuse like Lukaku.

68% take on. Ajigbijigbijigbi. If you dribble 1 time in 10 matches in a comfortable take on, you will get 100%. Unlike Martial and Rashford who force the take on every time they get the ball. You would soon tell me that Lukaku has a better take on accuracy than Neymar, Messi, Ronaldo, Hazard.

Please try to understand what stats are about. Not just you see stats and you cannot interprete. If DeGea beats a striker once a season, he would have 100% take on that season and be the best in accuracy. Number of successful dribbling matters, not the accuracy. Because someone who ensures that it is convenient to dribble before he does so, will get the highest drimbling accuracy.

Of the penaltes Aguero scores how many of it does he win? Is it not Sterling who wins their penalty and Aguero shoots it

of the last 5 games Aguero played 75, 62, 85, 86 and 90 mins so whats the excuse
