I did not see the game but when I woke to see talk of Curry and his ankle, boy, I could not go back to sleep.

I am happy the X-ray showed there is no break. This guy needs to rest for the next few weeks till January. I don't mind if we play Cavs in Dec without him.

KD, Klay and Draymond need to handle business. Especially Shaun L because I am not really comfy with KD being the floor General. He gets some unnecessary TOs sometimes.

As for that OKC vs Warriors match,bad or good calls...OKC would have still won..The refs were not responsible for the warriors turnovers and bad defence.

During the Spurs vs OKC game I came here to say bad calls went both ways. That was the difference; they were bad calls on your end and bad on theirs as well. For P.Gs foul that was not called, what about Bryn Forbes drive to the basket when the scoreline was 3 in favor of yall? Popp came out to yell at the ref and the OKC commentators paused to swallow saliva because of how glaring the foul was but then concluded that both teams had suffered bad calls in the game.

In the OKC vs GSW game, all the bad calls were on GSWs end. This is not even refutable -Stephen A Smith - a KD hater and OKC sympathiser said so.

I have never disagreed that OKC were good for their win. The evidence shows they most likely would have won. But the evidence also shows that GSW were not allowed to play through the bad calls.

If I force a stop from you and the refs call blocking foul and return the ball to you, it will still be recorded as a turn over. That is why counting 22 TOs or saying another team did not play good defence is a one-way traffic argument.

Pelicans, Philly are 2 teams in recent weeks that deserved to win based on first half display. Both even led GSW by half time more than OKC did. The difference? Bad calls went in both directions and GSW recovered 3Q to win both games.

Like I said back then, OKC were playing so well that it baffled me why the refs were hellbent on helping them. You don't need to agree but atleast I am sure you have seen other non-warriors on this thread say so.

Mehn, I blame Kawhi and IT for making this MVP a two man race...

Everybody knew this was Kawhi's year. Spurs probably would be 1st in standings and that guy would lead the MVP race or be tied at 1, whichever.

And IT for letting Bron have historic numbers. An old Bron with an improved jumper is gold. Even Love's 100% post op is back. Wade sef don dey play like that Wade we sabi. He's the 6th man of the Year currently. The Cavs are the 2nd deadliest team in the NBA RIGHT NOW (behind Rockets); not Warriors or Celtics.

Abeg it's late for Kawhi but IT should do and come back, reduce Bron's numbers and consequently blow this MVP race open. Make next week reach abeg...


P.S: If we're talking about the word, MVP in the definitive form with the impact and numbers this season, it's Curry. Too bad there are other players putting up "spotlight" stats

While I agree Kawhi would have been up there, I disagree that he would have outperformed James Harden. James has been making a case since 2014/15 it just makes sense his team is blowing teams off the park - and he is a major contributor to that fact.

Will ITs presence reduce Bron's number? It is supposed to, but then everyone said so when the trades were being made - including after Kyrie left. The consensus was, that he was on his way out to LA and would only push himself in the playoffs. Time has proven that fractionally untrue.

Are the Cavs the second deadliest team in the world right now? Highly contested considering the teams they are beating are being pummeled by others as well. Pistons, Hawks, Bulls are ninnies no offense to them. Philly just lost a home game to Phoenix. Wizards got blitzed by Denver Nuggets. These teams are playing Cavs at opposite sides of the form sheet. I can't make a case for them.

I definitely agree that Rockets are the deadliest team though. But then, they are using little rotations and playing their star players to a halt. The regular season is a marathon.

Fun fact; number of games with 130 points and above this season? Nearest contenders Rockets have (2). Rest of NBA together ( I think 2 too - need to check) GSW have (5). And this is supposed to be a bad season.

Harden has been making his point I do agree about that. However, Kawhi brings something that he doesn't, a better defense. He's also better in efficiency and close out games.

There were projections prior to the season on these players: Kawhi, Giannis and Harden were meant to have a peak season while others were said to keep up with the momentum. Only Kristaps has done more than he should. If Kawhi were healthy, he'd be having a Giannis season on a Spurs team that's 5-6 on the road. That'd be on par if not better than Harden.

Though Harden has contributed to their blowouts this year, CP3 intake has more to do with it. I already put the numbers last season when Harden had little to no difference on their +/- even with their 50+ win season. Well, CP3 is averaging a crazy assist/TO ratio in his 8 games for Rockets, where they are 8-0, made 18 or more 3s and hold the highest differential of any team. Harden has never felt much relief. If everything stays the same, you can bet on that MVP...






What would you have LeBron do when you're 5-7 and sitting outside the playoff spots? He'd to put up crazy numbers especially in the 4th to get back into playoff contention. Or that game against Wizards following a 3 game losing streak? Not only him, Love and Wade have been insane throughout this run. All of them especially Bron have their minutes in the red mark plus their usage rates are through the roof. These stars adjusted to make up that 20+ ppg player that's missing.




They're on a 12 win run, blowing out some teams people thought they'd lose or be close. Lose Curry and Shaun Livingston and you'd agree a 12 game winning streak is a big deal. I'd place Celtics 3rd and Warriors after them mostly because of Kerr.



CP3 running the second unit is ingenious. Harden and those showers are lighting everyone up. If they'd better shot selection in their transition plays, then they'd be something. I never thought I'd see the day




Number of points don't matter if you get to win by a close game in some of them. Rockets have the best point differential and I think second best defensive efficiency.

I still believe Warriors will have the top seed only if Curry is healthy. Let's just hope the MRI will show up as day to day.

Nobody can touch Kawhi's D but if D was the decider in MVP races, Russell would not have won it last year. I saw the Giannis talk as hype; he will grow into his own but he should know that A Davis, Karl Anthony will have a say in the near future.

Then again, I don't think Spurs would have had a better regular season than Rockets. Kawhi can give them an extra 3 wins considering the Ls they have had. But some of those same games they lost with him (OKC for e.g) - Just like Harden (Rockets beat GSW first regular season game last year 132-127).

As for CP3s inclusion you are right; but then Rockets had that patch of Ws where they won without him. I think he adds only only max 10 more wins to their last season's of 55.

Actually GSW have the best defensive efficiency and points differential. We are on 283 to Rockets 250 but they have 3 games to make that up easily. In the same way, they can win those games by 10 each and still be 3 behind. Or even worse, can lose one of those games and have only 1 game on us.

I am actually not making my case for GSW. On current form, the deadliest teams should be Rockets at 1, and Celts at 2. For the very fact that they too have played many teams people thought would beat them yet they won. Recall, they lost by 3 or 1 against Cavs in game 1 of the regular season - at Cavs ground after having lost Hayward on the same day.

Lol. KAT na the real hype. That guy has been abysmal like I predicted after that Jimmy trade. No iota of defense in that one.

Defense has always been a strong factor for a player. If you're not so good offensively, defense has helped built some players. A player in top 3 of both with a peak season ahead of him shouldn't be trifled with





I don't know about which team finishes better but from the games Spurs have played on the road, 4 extra wins woulda been possible with Kawhi. Remember when Kawhi was healthy 2 seasons ago and Spurs ended up with 67-15? Spurs would probably go 65+ wins this season from what I've watched.




I see Rockets finishing with 67 wins this season don't know about you. In fact, I see three teams finishing 65+ wins in WC if all players were healthy. But injuries aren't a myth





The points differential I meant were game averages. Rockets have Warriors beat there




I'm using CURRENT form to access their potency. I believe if both teams meet right now, Cavs would have the upper hand again.

Funny how everyone was fussing about the Cavs losing their closer at the start of the season. LeBron is by far the most cold blooded player in the league right now. Maybe him losing his closer is the best thing that could happen to him because he's been unstoppable in the clutch so far this season.
