Hi. Please how did you get to order your transcript from Uniben and how much does it cost.
If you are addressing the transcript to an organization abroad, it's 18k for everything. Within nigeria is 14k.
It's on their website www.uniben.edu

Hello guys. Can someone help me out here. I got a message from my assessing body, EA for Electronic Engineering this morning. They said that I should request my institution to send my official transcripts and completion letter (dunno what that means) in a sealed envelop to them before June 2018 to complete my assessment. NB: I already uploaded my own copy of transcript to them earlier on. I applied for Fast track also. I have requested my school for that and placed an order for them to send the transcript to them in Aussie. My questions now are:

(1) What do they mean by completion letter? My transcript already has the date I completed my degree program

(2) How long will it take for them to give me an outcome upon receipt of the transcript? Still under Fast track

(3) How long does it take for documents to reach Australia? I requested for FedEx Courier services.

Final Note: I only applied for the standard competency assessment without work experience. Thanks guys.
The transcript i sent to EA was the student copy and i used UPS...i got there in 3 working days..Outcome positive

zanyzara:

1) All they need is a letter from the registrar that you completed your study. See a pdf SAC sample here

2)It could be as early as the next day. They have already made a decision on your application. Just waiting for the verification from school.

3) You can easily track the package on Fedex website with your tracking number.

Thanks a lot for this. My school only issues out Academic transcript and proficiency of use of English letter. Although my transcript contains my completion date

I uploaded mine instead of sending it through courier. I guess that's where the problem is

Have you asked and they said NO? If they could issue proficiency for use of English, they could also issue statement of academic completion. You just need to ask nicely. If they insist they don't, then let your assessor know.

That's not the problem. People have done what you did and got positive outcome. Its just that your assessor feels the need for more verification directly from the source and not through you.

Does anyone know of some competent online cdr writers in case you don't have time to do it yourself? Thanks

You may wanna ask for a "notification of result" from your uni. I used a notification of result to proceed to nysc camp, as my uni didn't issue certificate until after the convocation ceremony.

The word competent is a big one. I had tried using em sometime... Lo and behold they will ask you to provide report of some project(s) you have executed before as a team member or leader... Which means , you are still gonna provide everything they need . In addition, regarding not being able to write cdr by one self...., This is my one cent and some statement that keeps me going when I claim/think I don't have time....
"Create time for everything , and you have time for everything"
"It is what you don't wanna do, that you have an excuse for"

You may wanna apply these to the situation at hand/ to whom it may concern.

See the cdr as a project then , initiate, plan, execute and control/check.

Hello everyone!

Hope you all had a great day.

Please i need your help. I am currently in the process of assessing my education and skill with CPA.
Does anyone how i can get syllabus from unn for 2005 and from ICAN from 2011?

Your kind help will be appreciated.

Hi Uchey,

Don't overstress yourself on the school Syllabus. I actually used statutory declaration for mine. You only need to describe and explain course content relating to the competency mentioned on CPA site.

For ICAN syllabus, you can check online for the year you stated. If not online, then send someone to ICAN library to get you a copy. The ones I have are for 1998 and 2005.

Please act fast and never allow syllabus to hold you down.

While at assessment, try and ace 20points in English on time. That seems the albatross for most of us nominating that occupation.

Take a clear coloured copy of your statement of result, if you have it, to your school registrar or exams and records for stamping and ask them to send it to EA. You will receive your outcome the following day.

Please, is it that I can't forward the PDF version of my official transcript along with other documents?
Do I have to send it to EA separately or have my school send it to them?

HI, I am no expert, but my advice is that if you are still with the company and in that position, then that means as each month passes by your experience is growing hence you can apply for an assessment. But this tricky Vetassess will most definitely taken one year meaning that your positive outcome letter will have you written as experience-0 months.

then again what if they take more than a year means that you have no more months on offer e.g I have seen where people have 7 years experience and Vetassess returns the positive assessment back with 4 years 8 months experience. I hope you understand

Secondly I advice you read the requirements on the vetasses website to be sure that the requirements are still the same.

I guess before your role as assistant project manager you had other Project builder related roles( so more years of experience)

you could nominate project builder to get a positive outcome. However it has no state sponsorship 190 only skilled visa 189. so if you have more years working as a builder you may have more points... and because with the above it is 0 points only 15 points for education... with project builder if you have some years of experience you may get 5 points and above so that may help. plus 15 points for education ( check a point calculator)

But please make proper website checks as well to keep you updated as requirements are always changing.

Thank you so much.
Please could you email me a copy of your organisation chart and reference letter? I'd be very grateful. oseny51@yahoo.com

hello everyone
Does anyone have any idea on why civil engineering draftsperson has not been getting invitation?
I'm really worried, because it's my nominated occupation and it's also a non prorata.
Please your response will save a soul.
Thank you.

@ Mr Bellong, yes I have been in the pool since July, although I have 60 points, but I haven't seen any ITA on immitracker for civil engineering draftperson. Since this financial Year begun.

Na wa o. So no invitations on 6th. If only there was a way to know the backlog of 65 pointers in chemical engineering make person know how long this wait go be.

Yes you can. However, your assessor MAY still request you send it officially through school.

Not everyboy is on immitracker. There has been 22 ITAs already issued this financial year. Maybe they are not calling 60pointers YET due to strong competition this year. Check the occupational ceiling here

There was invitation but very few and mainly for accountants, some 75 and 80pointers. We will get to know once there is official result by DIBP.

Oga bellong please I have a question.

I and my partner Intend applying as defacto partners. We have a one year old child so I'm guessing that's enough proof of the the relationship.

My question is, are we going to be compelled to get married at some point?

We have done traditional marriage though but neither of us is ready for court or white wedding yet for personal reasons.

Hello bro,

I am just learning about statutory declaration for school syllabus. That is a good one. We learn daily.

We go survive and it will end in praise for all of us.

Hi,

My Bsc (Unilorin) is assessed as Associate Degree that is below Australian Degree by Vetassess. Could you provide an insight as to Why this is so?

Also, will assessing professional certification like ICAN have additional points for an Internal Auditor occupation?

Thank you guys for your responses

Hello,

VETASSESS is a no no please for internal auditor. This is because the body is quite rigid in its interpretation and application of the AQF. It recognises only five year courses as equal to Australian degree except if the Nigerian university is classified as a tier 1 university. Unfortunately Unilorin is a tier 2 university.

You stand a better chance assessing as an external auditor with any of ICAA, CPA AND IPA. These bodies assess based on competency areas (about 7-9) covered by your degree. I have read that if your degree covers up to 7 of the competency areas that you stand the chance of getting a positive assessment.

Your ICAN is recognised as a degree too as shared by praiseisgood and Toslad. These duo assessed with CPA and ICAA respectively. Please, read up on their posts as we have discussed these here countless times.

By the way, I am better by far. You could send me a PM.

Best of luck.
