At 28 Herrera have not up to 5 caps for Spain.
Carrick is 36, Kompany is 31.
Sterling has come of age, Rashford is an academy graduate still learning the ropes and just came out of teenagehood few weeks ago.
Mata us younger than Silva but has since been ignored by Spain, and was never a key player in NT. while Silva is a key member of the all conquering 'ra roja' of 2008-2012, and is still being called up, there is a gulf in class.
You can't blame Jose for the injury travails of Shaw and Jones. Rojo was a flop before Jose joined, mourinho massively improved him.

I don't know what will happen next season, let the team keep improving, if the board feel mourinho is not satisfying the club's objective he should be sacked. But saying the team did not improve is unfair. Chelsea was conquering everybody last season And conte was the God, this season he is clueless according to the same fans. Next season, may a few injuries and suspensions to city, coinciding with few poor referring decisions against them, the narrative might change.

If you ask me, I think Jose should stay on, he will definitely win something big.

Against the big teams City probably only won a couple but have swept up everything in this first half of the season. That is a very significant improvement if you ask me. United improved too, I never stated otherwise. Before it was said that we don't need to win the big boys to stay at the top, we just have to bully the smaller teams and we are fine. Even some of all these smaller teams go dey bully us, thank God for their inexperience and our defense.
