MamaOO:They just dint see it ni o. The CBP declaration card clearly asks if you are coming with beef etc. I filled it up once and they took my meat from me. A friend had his sniffed out by the patrol dogs and seized. |

You can go to your DHL office to check. Sometime they will not send message on time. Austinjeffy: |

You're welcome Mamaron. Congrats too. mamaron: VO: you didn't need to come for another interview you could have sent an email to the correspondence team and it would have been noted on in your fileI agree with you here. To think that the VO went on record here to infer that the change-of-intent email is basically just spam. |

Not at all. Emergency requests don't cost you money. I advise you make a new request, improve on the justification, then include additional supporting documents. All the best. ALADE4J2: |

I agree it's unnecessary to schedule another interview when you already have a valid visa. However Mamaron made the best decision under that circumstance; I would have done the same thing cos even if she didn't get turned back at POE, she could be harassed by CBP. Getting pregnant two months after your visa is approved is definitely a red flag, especially when the visa has not been used for the original purpose. Anybody could argue that she circumvented the system by getting pregnant right after her visa was issued, best to avoid those unnecessary situations. jaysmom: |

Remember it is your responsibility to prove that you can afford the high cost of medical services in the US. Unfortunately, to the average critical eyes, what you did was prove the exact opposite. You could have focused more on the fact that you have saved USD25k for this purpose (which is a lot of money by the way), while also showing that you have sufficient ties to your home country so it doesn't look like you have only saved this money to abscond to the US. Your information about a 60m which belongs to your dad and not you is what I believe is the real issue here. I also couldn't help but notice that in one sentence, you said 25k dollars, then in the next one, you said 60m without including the currency, leaving room for assumption that the 60m is also in dollars. This point could be irrelevant, but who knows? izaga3: |

Congrats on the arrival of your LO. Come back and update us when you resolve payment for anaesthesia. All the best Uniquezuri: Any questions on the vbac please ask here.Do share cost breakdown for your VBAC. It would be against policy to share doctor's details here so I have sent you a PM. Hope you don't mind. |

biodunajayi:No you don't have to apply for a renewal or get a new visa, your old visa is still very valid in as much as you enter the Us before it expires, even if it is a day before expiration, you'll still be ok. |
| Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by dere5: 11:45am On Dec 15, 2017 |
goobyparks:I don't know about British airways, but I've read of people paying to add baby at the airline office in naija while mother and child are in us. |

LI:Thanks Li, I am unable to make another emergency request since the field for that is no longer there in my profile after the initial emergency request I made. How did you go about it? Thanks |
| Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by nefertitiram: 2:24pm On Dec 15, 2017 |
LI:It actually does. If you have a rejected emergency request ,you have to pay another visa fees to request again |
| Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by nefertitiram: 2:25pm On Dec 15, 2017 |
ALADE4J2:Cancel ur appt, cancel it again. Pay another visa fees, rebook another date, the option will show |

goobyparks:Make the reservation over the phone and pay on departure at the airport( BWI )thats what my cousin did. Get there earlier so you hv time to sort it out. |
| Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by LI(m): 7:58pm On Dec 15, 2017 |
When our original Emergency request was rejected, that field became active again so we could make another request without paying another fee. Except the procedure has been reviewed within the last 3 weeks, I'd say give it some time then try again. ALADE4J2:Really? That was not my experience sha. nefertitiram: |

sugah:Says who? Kilishi was part of what I brought in last week and I listed everything it to the CBP at Houston POE and everything passed..even my Know Beef. As long as the meat is dried. Mine was dried and well packaged. What I know they are skeptical about are tubers and chicken |

LI:Thanks Li and Nefertiram. I guess the procedures have changed. |

goobyparks:I flew BA for my birthing trip twice and I always pay for my infant ticket at the airport on the day of departure. I just call them to add infant to my ticket. It's also faster at the airport if you pay with ur card instead of cash. |
