Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state has described his party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), as the ‘Southeast hurricane’, Punch reports.
The governor made his comments at an event tagged ‘Victory Rally/Commencement of Anambra Central Senatorial District Rerun Campaign’, which held in Awka, the state capital, on Thursday, December 14.

NAIJ.com gathers that Obiano asked governors in the southeast to join APGA, if they wanted to win re-election in 2019.

He further disclosed that as the general election season approaches, he had been approached by several senators and reps who had indicated interest to join APGA.
In his words: “What we are telling everybody now is to join APGA within a reasonable time to be able to get the chance to contest election on our platform in 2019.
“What happened here on November 18 when APGA swept the entire poll in Anambra state will be replicated in Imo, Abia, Enugu, and Ebonyi states in 2019.
“APGA is a hurricane that nobody can stop in the South-east. What I’m telling my brother governors in the South-east is for them to join APGA now if they wish to be re-elected; otherwise, sorry for them, they must lose their seats to APGA in 2019.”

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that the All Progressives Grand Alliance said that it will present a presidential candidate for the 2019 elections and will not make the same mistake it made in 2015.
The party did not field a presidential candidate for the 2015 presidential election and there were reports that this was because of its alleged alliance with the Peoples Democratic Party to support its candidate.

APGA will sweep the south east in 2019. It is no joke. And for those who are deluded to think that APGA is just a regional party, know today that APGA won a House of Representative election in Taraba state as well as two House of Assembly seats in Bayelsa state.

Lies. Okorocha has been in ANPP, APP, PDP, he even formed a party ''Action Alliance- AA'' but still yet he could not win any election. His first ever election victory was when APGA picked him from the woods.

LOL. If we vote based on individual, Osita Chidoka ought to have come second in the election instead of the illiterate that APC paraded. But unknown UPP was his undoing.
