If you are reading this, then definitely i am gone forever. I want you to know that this was never my intention for you, for us. I wanted us to last forever but fate never gave us that opportunity.  Let me tell you everything from the very beginning.

My real name is Katunga and i died 5 years ago.

I am sure you have read the previous sentence for couple of times now and you must be thinking i made an error but no, you read it right. My name is Katunga and not Ola as you knew me as, as everyone knew me. I died 5 years ago in the city of Nairobi, Kenya where i was born, bred and lived all of my life, my first life.

On the 25th day of the 12th month in the year 2012, i was shot a night to my wedding and left to die in the pool of my own blood.

**25-12-2012**

Drunk, lightheaded, all these were how i felt and much more but still i managed to stand up from the midst of my friends and staggered my way into the rest room. They jeered and hailed as i left the dance floor, i had been drinking all night, i have drank what could knock off five able bodied men put together but here i was, still standing. Although staggering,  but i was standing and that attracted the jeers and hailings. It was my day anyways, that very day was my birthday and also my bachelor's eve as my wedding was on the next day. For so many reasons, i was justified for getting that drunk and having so much fun.

I got to the entrance of the toilet, it took couple of minutes before i could figure the signs distinguishing the male and female rest room. Finally i saw the caricature depicting a male figure and i entered into the toilet. I almost thought i had made the mistake i wanted to avoid when i saw a lady stand right inside the male rest room. I apologised and turned back around almost immediately,  i was about leaving the rest room when the lady spoke.

'Katunga!' she called out.

I heard her voice loud and clear but i still believed it was the alcohols that was getting the best of me, nonetheless, i put my ears to the ground, literally.  Then she called my name again, i stood up from the floor,  walked towards her and that was when i saw her face, blurry sight but i still figured it was her. I had been together for a long time than not to know her even if she had Potus' mask on.

'Thandeka ?' I asked to be sure.

'So i heard you are getting married, huh ?' She replied with a wicked smile plastered on her face.

'A man is got to move on, Thandeka.'

'But you promised to be with me till the end of time' The smiles were beginning to vanish off her face.

'That was until you had sex with my best friend and made out with my sister.' I screamed at her although it didn't come out as hard as i wanted because i was drunk.

'That was just one goddamn mistake with your friend.' she screamed back, harder than mine but the noise of the rocking music in the club still overshadowed our screams completely.

'And the one with my sis ? Damnit you know i am a Christian and i can't end up with a lesbian as a wife.'

'Your sister is not innocent of this lesbianism sin you are casting on me.' She was beginning to sob.

'My sister has her life to live, this is mine.' I replied, turned around and made to leave the toilet until she called out my name again.

'Katunga,' I turned around grudgingly only to see what she had been hiding behind all the while we  have been arguing, a gun. 'Katunga, i already made myself this promise,  if i don't get to have you, no one else would.' She pointed the gun to the direction of my forehead, hands on trigger.

'Don't do what you will regret' was all i got to say before i felt a bang in my head, almost immediately, i fell down, and blood started gushing from my head. I had been shot, shot by a woman i once dreamed of spending the rest of my life with, turned out i spent the rest of my life with her as i never had another opportunity to be with my bride in waiting, she was the end of me.

I died in the pool of my own blood.
