Anything can happen, this isn't about him being obsessed with the white skin or English system.

I thought Komekn's perception about an average Nigerian hast changed.

Well, he is entitled to his opinion.

One thing is certain-despite the level of corruption in the country, it still doesn't make all Nigerians fraud.

Those boys I saw in the picture that raised this age cheat dust are well below 13. Look at their height, facial appearance-those kids look innocent. It will even be hard to find one of them who is already in senior high school... We have overflogged this matter and it has tainted our image globally.

Make im cut us some slack joor...

21 Facts About Wilfred Ndidi On His 21st Birthday
onlinenigeria.com Dec 16, 2017 10:23 AM

Wilfred Onyinye Ndidi has come a long way as a professional footballer yet it’s hard to believe he’s just in his third year as a top-flight professional. Yea, you read that right, just his third season in the big leagues.

Today, December 16, is the 21st birthday of Super Eagles and Leicester City of England’s midfield dynamo and, to celebrate with him, here’s a collection of facts on his short but so far eventful football career.

1 – He’s the first of three kids, with two sisters, son of a serving military man in the Nigerian Army and a mother who’s a trader.

2 – He grew up playing with guys above his age group and Ndidi attributes his toughness on the ball to the knocks he received from the older players growing up.

3 – Ndidi grew up at the Military Cantonment in Ikeja, Lagos and started playing football at the Command Children School before proceeding to the Nath Academy where he also played.

4 – He made his debut in a 1-0 loss at Charleroi. He was to play six games for Genk until the end of the season but the coaches were sufficiently convinced that they had a gem on their hands.

5 – In his first full season at Belgian side RKC Genk, Ndidi became a solid starter for the first team, played 38 games and scored four goals in the league to attract the attention of some of Europe’s big teams.

6 – On April 20, 2016, he scored an amazing goal against Club Brugge from 30-yards that set tongues wagging and forced the whole league to sit up and take notice of the leggy Nigerian lad. The goal was adjudged the best goal of the season.

7 – KRC Genk snapped up the young Ndidi for about £78,000 but made a tidy profit when they sold him on to Leicester City barely two years later for a reported £15m

8 – After undergoing trials at Belgian side KRC Genk, Ndidi had to return to Nigeria without knowing if he was successful or not but on his 18th birthday he was contacted by Genk to come and sign an Academy contract.

9 – Ndidi started his European football career as a defender, playing left and right full back under Ale McLeish, then coach of KRC Genk before he was moved into defensive midfield.

10 – Theo and Marleen van Vlierden are Ndidi’s foster parents who took him in when he first arrived at Genk. He stayed with them until his departure for Leicester City 18months later.

11 – Ndidi was named the third-best young player in the Belgian league for 2015/2016, his first full season in football

12 – At his departure from Genk to join Leicester City, Ndidi wrote an emotional letter to the KRC Genk fans which went viral on Instagram with over 8000 likes in its first few days online.

13 – Ndidi also won the Leicester City Young Player of the Year despite only playing for just five months, the second part of the season.

14 – Ndidi is a fans’ favourite at the King Power Stadium and has a special number dedicated to him by the Leicester City faithful and it goes like this:

15 – There he was with ball at his feet, singin’
“Oh Ndidi didi dum didi do”‬
‪Beating defenders while shufflin’ his feet, singing’
“Oh Ndidi didi dum didi do “‬
‪He looked good (looked good),
he looked fine (looked fine)‬
‪He looked good, he looked fine.
Leicester City’s twenty five‬

16 – Ndidi’s first ever game for Nigeria was with the Golden Eaglets against Niger but his most memorable for the U-17 team was against Mali in Calabar where he scored in a 2-0.

17 – He failed to make the cut the Golden Eaglets team that eventually went on to win the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates. Leicester City teammate Kelechi Iheanacho was the star of that tournament.

18 – After being dropped from the Golden Eaglets, he got an invitation to join the Flying Eagles and was a part of the team to the 2013 U-20 World Cup in Turkey.
19 – Ndidi appeared at two U-20 World Cups for Nigeria. First in 2013 and then in 2015 in New Zealand. On both occasions, the Flying Eagles failed to go beyond the Round of 16 stages.

20 – Ndidi made his competitive debut for the Super Eagles on September 3, 2016 after featuring in his first three friendly games against Congo, Cameroun and Luxembourg. He was also an unused substitute in the World Cup qualifier double-header against Swaziland in November 2015.

21 – Ndidi has 13 caps for the Super Eagles and was part of the team that qualified Nigeria for a sixth World Cup appearance, playing a vital role in each of the six qualifying games.

Wishing Ndidi many more years in active service for club and country.

NFF, Leicester Celebrate “Soaring” Ndidi At 21
By James Agberebi: The Nigeria Football Federation and Premier League club Leicester City have sent birthday wishes to Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi who clocked 21 on Saturday.

The NFF and Leicester took to their verified Twitter handles to congratulate Ndidi.

Commenting on Ndidi’s birthday celebration, Leicester wrote: “Ndidi is 2️1️ today. Many happy returns, Wilfred!”

The NFF wrote:”Happy birthday Willie Ndidi. Keep soaring.”

Ndidi made his debut for the Super Eagles in a 2-0 friendly defeat to Congo DR in 2015 under former coach Sunday Oliseh.

He played a key role in the Super Eagles’ qualification for next year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.

He was also a member of the Flying Eagles squads to the 2013 and 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cups in Turkey and New Zealand respectively.

ho can anybody accuse these kids of being age cheats? These babies here? Haba! Because they were not fortunate enough to be born in London?

Is the white man now the epitome of integrity and truth? The same people that have committed the biggest frauds in history is who someone can trust like this as if they will not swindle you the moment you turn away.

Oga his sentiment is kinda weird, no wonder he and Forgiveness gets along very well. and about ur first paragraph since he is totally not wrong then I believe he is totally not right either.
For him to make such a comment even with those pictures up there then I think something is wrong, somewhere.

Haba people like him fit say a primary 2 kid is 18 years old just because there is no "data age capture camera" in the Nigerian city he was born.

how come he never speaks out when the issue of age cheating is raised about Europeans and the likes abi u no see the Moroccan boys.

to him if Solanke was born in 9ja he wouldn't be less than 30 but he is claiming u21 and because he is in Queens land he could probably be even less than 17, yea they add to their age to look the part na.

all of us know that Brazil has been accused and caught of age cheating at the u17 level in the past. so please just because we are Africans somebody should not come and make us the face of age cheating, it is only the person caught that is a thief. others are not so far they have not been caught.

pepesi he will b saying if Balogun was born in Nigeria he will b claiming "24".

You have a very big problem.
To you even if a child is born this night, but as far as he is born in Nigeria that child must be older by the number of years you chose to believe.

I don't know who did this to.

I have a very big problem

You are being misleading, firstly I explained this as an African problem. Which emanates in its entirety from the problem of substantive authentication. Why, because we do not have automatic birth data capture at all levels in Nigeria and across Africa in general.

We as Nigerian do not have truth and integrity as pillar of our societal norms and values.

Across all governmental bodies it's routine to change your age in order to extend your service years. We do not even know the age of our president. Age cheating is very normal and widespread across every sector of life in Nigeria.

I went to secondary school in Warri, Nigeria, and not in some international school in Lekki. I have worked and do business in Nigeria to date.

I have had numerous contacts with football academy owners. So I will not air all our dirty linen in a public forum.

I am an optimistic faith led realist, I don't like to placate myself with delusion. So nuttin do me just being real.

However, if you want to pretend that we are a country that is built on unquestionable truth and integrity then it's your choice to be delusional.

It is important for us to be willing to accept criticsm and improve but it is equally as important for those who criticize us to be open minded and constructive in their criticism.

I understand that we have had major issues with age cheats over the years but things seem to have changed since 2013 and the NFF is doing a good job (imo) of ensuring we improve in the area of accountability- be it in taking responsibility for mistakes that happen or ensuring that participants of age group competitions are the right age. Personally I think we should give them credit for that; if we have to criticize let it be constructive.

To me these boys don't look over 13 but I guess people see things differently.

Like you said it's important for us to learn not to talk ourselves down. Foreign does not necessarily translate into better or more accountable.

it is sentiments and bias that is making Komekn see things in that light.

He's an incurable unbeliever in the Nigerian age grade system and an incurable believer in England and the white man....like, you don't even have to be Caucasian, just be a non-African and he will believe anything you present to him as U-17 or U-20....in fact, even if you are African, if you're not a black one, yoi cannot age cheat grin

This nigga probably believed Berisha was U17

Komekn this is 2017, we have Birth Certificates in Nigeria too, we document births here too, we don't just born inside the bush. If you need proof for those boys, please come down to Nigeria and visit something called a National Population Commission and you will get what you need. Stop sitting down in Europe and questioning everything based on your tainted perception.

HOLD ON! Let's do the maths...
Lekki to Iyana-Ipaja = N500
4,4,4,4,2 Arrangement = 18 Pax
Gross Revenue per Trip = N9,000
NURTW + Area Boy Charge = N2,000
Fuel = N1,000
Net Revenue per Trip = N 6,000.

Now, let's say the driver is able to do 3 Return Journeys (6 Trips) daily = N6,000 x 6 = N36,000 per day

N36,000 x 30 Days = N1,080,000 Monthly =
N12,960,000 every year!

The first thing you have completely lost is that there is no AUTOMATIC BIRTH DATA CAPTURE in Nigeria and in Africa in general as well as some emerging nations. That in itself creates the problem.

Nobody said that they are age cheating in that picture. However, because it is impossible to verify age unquestionably the possibility exists that they may be.

Nobody said that people in England are devoid of corruption. Go back to some of my posts and you will see what I said about English football. My personal experiential led opinion is that English football is intrinsically corrupt.

But you have digressed the issue is age verification. Not corruption.

In this regard considering the incredible premuim put on youth and the huge financial gains involved. Do you therefore think in any context irrespective of location. If the opportunity exists for undue advantage to be gained by shaving off 1, 2 or even 3 years of a child's age. That people would not take it.

If you had read my post, I made mention of boys that I personally know in English EPL football that are not Nigerian but West and East African. To avoid the emotive Nigerian bias some may wish to tag me with. Rather than digest the substance of my observations.
