You can say that life is so difficult for everyone elsewhere, but I am trying to reason with my audience which is Nigerians. There is so much difficulty in Nigeria today and it doesn't matter if other countries are suffering too because telling yourself that other people are suffering wouldn't solve your own problems or make you feel better.

So why is life so difficult?

This is a question many people have asked me, but some people don't even ask me, they just conclude that life in Nigeria is hell, it is so difficult, that you work so hard and you can't get by. Some even tell me that if Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, and Bill Gates had been Nigerians they would have been dirt poor by now and still struggling in Ajegunle.

So why is life so difficult?

Right now in this picture - Which one is 6 & which one is 9? It will all depend on where on the table you are sitting.

If for example you are sitting across me and I was to write this on a table - whatever you say would be the opposite of what I say.

In the same way - life is all about having a perspective - your perspective is right for you. My perspective is right for me.

Right now if you believe life is tough - you are right. While if I believe life is fun - I am right.

MORAL OF THE STORY
Life is what you make it out to be.
Change your perspective on Life, and Life’s perspective of you changes.

Perspective defines your life and defines your strength, the way you see things defines how intelligent or how dull you are, the way you see things defines how far you will go, how rich you will be and how much you will impact people around you and even yourself.

The way you see things defines, how far you will go if you will achieve your dreams or not, Yes I won't lie to you, there are struggles, obstacles everywhere, but you just have to grow up and accept that that's how life is. Even the rich have great difficulties, Rich men like Bill Gates have to check their business and investments every day, they have to check in the reputation of their business and when a customer refuses to buy he loses money, you might think he has all so there is no problem but when you expenses run into hundreds of thousands of dollars yearly then you need a stable source of money and getting that comes with struggles.

Everything you believe comes from the way you see things, most ladies believe that giving a man their phone number or an answer to a relationship request so fast is a sign that they are cheap and they choose to delay instead. That is simply their perspective of things.

So what should you do?

Be positive

Never take shortcuts (take smart cuts instead) Smart cuts are the way the billionaires really got rich, if you are working hard and not smart, you will only get rich and live happy in your dreams.

Exercise and focus on your health: It not only makes life easier by helping you deal with frustration, and improving your moods, it also boosts your brain and your comprehension. You can find more about that on my blog www.realfitbody.com

Accept struggles and shun complain: It would never be easy, but when you complain and lament, you are programming your brain to believe that what you see before you is above you and then your brain locks into that and restricts you from crossing over that obstacle. Don't complain about struggles, but accept them and move over them. Whenever I feel that I can't do something, I feel the urge to tell myself that this is hard, but I just say it is easy even though it's not, those words simply tell my brain that I just need to try harder and that is what I simply do because what humans don't know is that they are stronger than they think they are.

Don't be the society: Remember my example of ladies thinking they are cheap, that is what they think because that is how the society labels women who do that. Don't be the society, be you, unless your fingerprint is the same with everyone else on planet earth then you can be them, but it's not, so be unique, just like your fingerprint, set your own standards, code of conduct, decent morals and live by them.

Be Realistic: Don't live in a fantasy. Most movies today are all fantasies, including the ones that teach us true life lessons. The directors add fantasies inside to make the films more interesting while in reality, those things don't exist. Be realistic with life. By being realistic I mean understanding what exists and what doesn't. I don't mean that because you are in a zoo of a nation (permit me to say that), then you will live like an animal. Nigeria might be a trying country but that doesn't mean it doesn't have hope. So the reality of Nigeria is that if you give it hope then there will be hope.

In the end, you can either choose to accept life is difficult and filled with pain or choose to grow up and stop being lazy and start accepting that life is whatever you see it be.
