This saga is just a big lesson to other banks to be verry verry carefull before granting loans to fraudsters parading themselves as businessmen.

# No bank in this country should offer credit facilities to inoson again.

Look at this one grin

Dude, me and u no be mate. As I type, I'm in London where I came in to tidy up some business agreements on distribution of certain pharmaceutical products having flown in 2 days ago from China on yet another business trip. Haters gonna die.

Travelling across the globe means nothing to some people. Not everybody wants to global-trot. Personally, I have never travelled out of this country but I have millions in my account with GTB. You guys should better tell innoson to pay his debts. And he should stop dragging his gullible brothers who know nothing of his crimes into his mess.

He was informed before hand of the visit of Efcc, so he hurriedly mobilised his staffs to block their right of way & obstruct justice, just as Ifeanyi Uba also did before his arrest.
Allow the law take its course irrespective of tribe that's the way forward for us all.
Pls can you upload the letter of invitation given to him by the EFCC?...I am waiting.

Can you sincerely say this for Maina, etc who even the president knows is a criminal? Why has he and others like him (from the north) not been arrested?
Maina is a fugitive of the law, he's been in hiding same as Tompolo. Some of his properties have been sealed up by Efcc & will be forfeited to the FG when time runs out on him.

Agreed with almost all of your submission.
Pertinent question is: why were the Nigerian Police, Ministry of Finance and Customs not involved ? From my understanding, EFCC deals with financial crimes of politically exposed persons. This is an accusation tax evasion and forgery ; no need for EFCC here unless there is an ulterior motive.
I won't prejudge the case but experience teaches that in Nigeria, no smoke without fire.

Preempting the tribal warriors: I am neither Yoruba nor Ibo.
efcc
Economic and Financial crimes commission

It deals with fraud which is a financial crime

can u pls quote one statement attributed to innoson to show he is playing tribal games. from reports on credible dailies, innoson services his debt monthly at a tune of 22% which is done by most most large corporations even countries. there were no probs. until innoson noticed unecessary deductions from his acct(fraud). so broda who started this problem gtb or innoson? be sincere please?
you are not getting it?

This is d summary.

Innoson reneged on the agreement he made with the Bank before getting loan.

The bank then claimed ownership of the goods.

Innoson forged the signature of GTB's staffs to claim back the goods.

This is why he's being investigated for fraud and forgery.
Remember the Bank provided the money he used to purchase the goods.

I have not known what I need to know. What exactly is the offence committed by Innoson? Innoson specifically mentioned GTB's offence against him. But no clear form of offence has been mentioned by EFCC or GTB against Innoson. Even the allegations against him are very weak. The innocence of Innoson is so high that his enemies cannot form any concrete false allegation against him. O ji ọfọ ga-ana. Ọchụ nwa ọkụkọ nwe ada.

Of what value is Innoson motors to the nigerian economy?

His failing business is an economic drop in the ocean and is most likely a cover for some crime.

I've never in my life ever seen an IVM vehicle, nor even an ad for one besides a few screenshots here and there.

I can bet even you have not seen any of his cars, nor know anyone who has one. Igboes buy Benz and Camrys and NOT IVM. So why don't you chest-beating zealots patronize him?

Because his cars are prefab chinese crap that no one in their right minds would buy one.

None of your chiefs, governors, legislators, businessmen or celebrities ever drive an IVM.

So what's the exaggerated rage about?

The man is absolutely a crook and will be very soon in jail, where he belongs, like all the millions of igboe crooks roaming the street terrorizing hapless nigerians.
See what somebody is saying. This is jealousy.

I see the development as powerful cabal trying to protect their business from an outsider. Innoson doesn't belong to any political camp or even business camp. To them, he is an interloper. Similar thing happened to Cosmas Maduka, another political outsider.

Innoson must pay his debts.

And with the way innoson played a smart one on GTB, no bank in this country should offer him loan again.

A debtor claiming right. Wonders shall never end.

Your sense of reasoning is absurd and below common sense. Every business person owes money to one or more financial institutions, and for your information; Dangote is our greatest debtor in Nigeria and yet he's still the richest in Africa. US is the greatest debtor in the world and yet it's still the largest and most prosperous economy in the world. So the next time you make a comment on public platforms, try to make sure you're in the right state of mind because you don't always seem to be.

Was obasanjo not a military man? Was he a disaster? Didn't, t he steer d economy towards d right direction after taking over from d military (most corrupt institution) with low oil price. It just has to do with the individual. Buhari is a disaster.

humilitypays:
Do you know why everyone is saying it is because he is Igbo The answer is, with his caliber in this country, he is like the Dangote, the Otedolas, the Adenugas, etc and if it happened to be Dangote believe me, EFCC won't act the way they did. They won't even dare slap his wife for asking questions as woman she is.

Dangote has committed more tax waiver fraud and $$ waiver fraud than anybody dead or alive. He gets $$ waiver to secure $$ at CBN rate to enable him buy industrial equipments to be used in Nigeria as a way of supporting him growing Naija made brand but Dangote will secure this $$$ and then moves it abroad to invest and even sell some at black market rate. He has been doing this for years and who has arrested him

Believe me, there is Igbo phobia in Nigeria; among Hausa/Fulani/Yoruba in Nigeria just as there is Israel phobia among Arabs.

Innoson is a well known personality that can't runaway, why would efcc invade his home just like that

Believe me, efcc has been a thug association ever since Buhari came into power just like it was during OBJ.

Nigerians should stop voting retired military officers and uniform men into power under democracy, they can never be democratic....they only understand gun barrels and bullets.

Both Buhari, Atiku and every other retired uniform officer don't deserve to rule Nigeria, Nigerians wake up, don't vote Buhari or Atiku as president come 2019, try a businessman, an industrialist, a retired civil servant, banker, technocrats, educationists, accountants, don't vote retired uniform men to rule Nigeria, they are all disaster to this nation since 1966

What more invitation be given to him after he had jumped an Administrative bail?. An Administrative bail is more or less a form of official invitation with its terms clearly spelt out. The moment he jumped it, he set himself up to an arrest.

You see why you are displaying tribal hatred and jealousy needlessly?
Which car manufacturer is not an assembler? That issue has been debated and rested on nairaland several times.

Quit the whining, please. Sadly, you sounded as these guys who claim they own 85% of Lagos. There is no tribal hatred or jealousy as you claimed. I'm really trying to figure out those parts.

Why would anyone be jealous of Innoson's achievement/dilemma?

You wonder why a 1.5 litre engine vehicle supposedly 'manufactured' by Innoson cost about 4 million Naira and you'd hear stories such as 'the vehicle parts are imported into the country and he must make his own profit as well.'

I have no issue with the narrative above but the fact remains what it is.

That I am stunned is greatly exaggerated because we all know you have long been restricted to tribalistic and anti-APC banters, even when it's needless.
